I also learned that this purchasing process involves a lot of things that need to be considered such as Marketing Mix, social influences, psychological factors, and situational factors. I can say that the post-purchase stage is new to me and did not realize before that it is also an important part of marketing. I thought marketing ends when the consumer already bought the product or service because marketing after all is about creating value and then selling them. But thinking about it, it makes sense that marketers should also consider post-purchase to increase the probability of repeat purchase or recommend the product or service to the customer’s family and friends.

The heuristic process in a consumer’s decision-making process is also new to me and it is indeed true. There are a lot of alternatives in the market and we consumers tend to narrow down our criteria to make it easier for us to decide.
