Green consumers are those who prefer to adopt ecologically friendly products in order to conserve the environment. These are the people who purchase ecologically and ensure that they do their part in the conservation of the planet. Understanding the categories of green consumerism can assist business persons venture the ecological market, and taking away likelyducts. Research has highlighted that green consumers can be categorized as follows (Haytko and Matulich, 2009): Green consumers are sincere in their goals, with an increasing dedication towards healthier lifestyles.

They always consider their environmental activities insufficient. Green consumers do not expect organizations to be ideal to be taken ‘green’. Relatively, they find companies that are implementing major steps and have developed a commitment to enhancing. The Body Shop has been a symbol promoting green consumerism. They have utilized the idea and inclination of consumers towards the eco-friendly lifestyle. This is the core of their business which is carried out efficiently by the organization.

Unlike many products of the same genre, the Body Shop discourages animal testing. In 2006, the Body Shop has been awarded for its policy of not testing on animals. Moreover, their minimal packaging has been a major aspect of promoting green contesting. The green consumer’s demands are very much beneficial for the Body Shop to flourish since these demands are already in the value box of the company. The product range of the Body Shopsuits is best according to the needs of a green consumer (Thorne, 2012).

The body shop ensures the product’s packaging can be recycled. Usually, their liquid products are in plastic bottles and some plastic containers. For delivery, they use paper and bags. For the Body Shop, green consumers have been the best container success and they have always delivered up to their expectations and categories of them. They have a less complicated and insistent approach towards partnering, also delivering good results. Their motive is to enhance the productivity of the product, rather than just concentrating on ostentatious packaging (Thorne, 2012).
