Social media is an even more effective with the youth target market as compared to the forums and group discussions because while the forums and group discussions in blogs and other websites may be occasionally visited by the youth, the social media websites like Facebook and Twitter are definitely visited every single day by the youth. This provides the marketers with the opportunity to attract the youth market using the social media websites since this is not only a very cost effective way of marketing, but also assists them in the collection of information from the youth without the need to undertake extensive surveys and research studies.

Young generation openly expresses their likes and dislikes, and preferences in their posts on the social media websites.Q.2: Ans.It is true that projection of an organization in the media in the positive way increases its chances of being used by the consumers. I have also dealt with organizations that have received more negative media than positive media at certain points in time. The factors from which I judge the representation of an organization in the media is the allegations being made about the organization and the extent to which they are true.

For example, McDonald’s has been frequently accused of having spread obesity in the society at various platforms in the media. The people in charge frequently make laws imposing limitations on the meal sizes and menu. I believe that it is people’s fault who cannot maintain a healthy diet rather than McDonald’s.
