If you wanted to compare a group of numbers by using fractions, then a pie chart would be the best option. This is because a pie chart can be cut up into smaller pieces, thus giving a better visual representation of the data at hand. Or, if you wanted to get an idea of distribution, then a bar graph would be the best choice because each data point can be clearly defined along the x-axis.

         For using measures of central tendency, the use of a bar chart or frequency histogram is the easiest option. The three tools for measuring central tendency are the mean, median, and mode. Of these three, the mean is the most commonly used method to describe central tendency because it finds the middle point of all the data.
