  2. A randomized controlled experiment is a study that is conducted on people random in order to receive a clinical intervention. The participants have an equal probability of being allocated to any experimental group.
  3. A placebo is a simulated or medically ineffectual, treatment for an ailment or medical condition that is intended to deceive the patients. A Placebo effect, on the other hand, is the actual or perceived improvement of a medical condition after being given the placebo treatment.
  4. A blinding technique is an experiment where information about the results is concealed from the subject, the tester or both until the results are out to avoid them being biased. Single-blind studies are those experiments where data that could lead to bias is withdrawn from the subject, but the tester will have full access to the facts. Double-blind studies, on the other hand, are experiments where both the tester and the subject are denied the results in order to eliminate unrecognized biases.
