Human and Digital Television Interaction Name Institution Date Analysis of human and digital television interaction Digital television has attracted a lot of interest due to its wide range of application. The digital television is able to offer quality entertainment to people from all walks of life and different ages. It has successfully replaced the analog television with most countries signing declaration to adopt the use of digital television and phase out the analogue ones. The human and the digital television interaction cannot be separated due to the tasks that this gadget enables the human to accomplish. It is beneficial to the humans due to the quality of the images it displays (Baecker, 2000). It does not have health effects and thus quite harmless to the humans during viewing of programs. The interaction between the humans and the digital television has also been enhanced by the advancement in the modern technology which keeps improving the digital television and reducing its cost. Evaluation of the quality of interaction between human and digital television The quality of interaction between the humans and the digital television cannot be easily separated due to the measures in place that guides the process. The interaction is mainly for the purpose of providing high quality entrainment through the use of modern technological tools. The use of modern quality is quite advanced and it is mainly aim at improving the broadcasting means and the quality of signals that the digital television can use. With the popularity of the internet use, the digital television has the ability of accessing the internet. This has increased the rate of interaction between digital television and the humans. The internet is popular since it offers a lot of services that are required by the users. With the advent of social media, the digital television has even become more popular since mot people in the world are connected to the social network. This therefore emphasizes the continued growth of human and digital television interaction. The digital television is almost replacing some gadgets due to its good interaction with the users. The interaction has almost replaced computers in terms of accessing the internet. This interaction has been made possible by the technological advancement which utilizes the principles of improving the signals to enable the digital television to access more channels. The transmission of the signals has been improved by increasing the bandwidth. The transmission of the signals can also be done through cables, satellites, air or direct broadcasts. This increases the reception of the waves by the digital television and hence more channels can be broadcasted. The digital television also uses the concepts of high definition (HD) for the purpose of improving the quality of the images being broadcasted. This concept has lead to increased customer satisfaction since the quality of the image attracts and satisfies more clients. This is much advanced and better compared to the analogue system which was slow in terms of reception of waves and the general broadcasting. The analogue system could also not utilize the principles of transmission and the high definition to improve its quality. The contents of the programs are however the same as the analogue ones with the difference being in the quality of images and sound production (Abe, 1998). Recommended changes to the interaction Although the quality of the interaction between the digital television and the humans is good, some changes can still be implemented to make it better. Currently, the use of digital television is still an issue in the developing countries. This is mainly caused by the high cost of transmission and the cost of the digital television. The means of transmission should be improved and made easy through the use of technological means. This will ensure that the developing countries benefit from the interaction of the digital television and the humans. The transmission equipment used should be improvised so as to ensure that they become cheap and available to small scale entrepreneurs. This will play an important role in the spread of the technology and the use of the system. The internet reception of the digital television should be enhanced to ensure that it can use the modern gadget to access the internet. This will ensure that the people in the developing world are able to access and use the internet easily as compared to the current situation. The qualities of the images are good but it will be much better if the 3D concept is adopted in all the digital televisions so as to make it better for the users. Quality and interaction The current quality of the interaction is high in most of the developed countries. This is considering that every household in the developed countries has access to digital television (Carroll, 1997). The quality of the sound, pictures and videos are quite good and has been widely acceptable by the users. The transmission process is also good as it has proper mechanisms of ensuring that the signals are well received. This has made the users quite comfortable with the digital television. The connectivity to the internet is also an import feature in the digital television that has attracted most of the users. This feature enables the users to be connected to the other users in any part of the world. This is considered a great achievement by the users who are satisfied with the quality of the digital television. Its ability to access more channels compared to the analog television is also a feature that has encouraged the users to adapt it more and more. The digital television has a lot of potential in terms of interaction with the users. However, in some parts of the world, the users are not enjoying this interaction due to some reasons. In the developing world, the digital television has not been adopted fully. This is because the level of technological advancement is still low (Rosson, 2001). The capital is also high when it comes to venturing in the business. The prices of the equipment are still high and the cost is passed down to the users. The digital televisions are thus expensive in the developing countries. However, despite this weakness the quality of the services are still good in the developing countries in the areas that they can be accessed. The developing countries are also coming up with initiatives to ensure that the analog televisions are phased out and the digital ones replace them. The process of phasing pout the analog television may take a few years but the users all over the world will soon be enjoying the interactions with the digital television. Based on the recommended changes the user will benefit more in terms of quality during the interaction with the digital television. The recommendations are meant to address the areas of weaknesses that exist in the course of the interaction between the digital television and the users. The recommendations will ensure that the transmission is enhanced to increase more coverage and quality of the services provided by the digital television. The improvements recommended in terms of the internet connectivity will also ensure that most of the developing countries also enjoy the quality of the services of the digital television. The internet connectivity will play an important role in ensuring that the users in those countries benefit just like the counterparts (Catherine, 2005). This strategy will ensure that the quality of the interaction is enhanced as well as satisfying the users universally. These benefits will also create a smooth transition from the analog to digital in the developing countries which will see the analogue television being phased out gradually. The recommendation will also lead to improvements in terms of the quality of the picture and images of the digital television. This will be achieved through enhancing the capacity of all the digital televisions to broadcast using 3D images. This will improve the quality to a greater extent which will enhance the interaction and the user experience. Through the use of the modern technology, it will be possible to improve the quality and promote the access of the digital television through ensuring that the cost of equipment is reduced through modification. The use of modern technology can also be important in reducing the bulkiness of the equipment used and thus increasing portability. This will enhance the quality through the ability of easily moving the necessary equipment. The recommended improvements to the digital television have some of the strengths in terms of quality improvement. The quality of the image will be improved more and this will encourage better interaction between the users and the digital television. The user experience will also be greatly improved through this process. On the other hand the access to the internet will lead to a huge following in areas where the interaction is minimal. The users in the developing areas will be able to benefit from the quality and services that are offered by the digital television. The improvements in the technology will enable the equipments to be easily available at affordable prices and hence wide coverage will be experienced. If the equipments are improvised further, then the number of channels that the digital television can receive may be increased greatly. Despite the strengths that the recommendations have in terms of improving the quality of digital television, some weaknesses still exist on its part. The weakness of the recommendation may however be in terms of the cost. The cost of improvements may be so high and the manufactures may be inconvenienced despite the benefits that it may have on the users. It may also lead to other extra expenses in terms of the internet connectivity which may affect the service providers. The quality of the interaction may be contradicted if the improvements fail to succeed. This will force the users to go back to the older systems. References Abe, G. (1998).
