Healthcare is one of the basic requirements which every individual may need in life. There have been different discussions on healthcare, but the major issues under discussion recently are the application of 5G in healthcare. Communication is a crucial aspect of healthcare. There is a need to communicate with one another in different areas to enhance the healthcare provider's quality to the patients. In healthcare, there are applications of machines such as computers, which transmit, upload, and download files required and used in the healthcare provision. For that reason, there is a need to have a reliable network that can enable such machines to work efficiently and deliver service in the shortest time possible. Sickness does not wait, and therefore, there is need to have devices and network which can able to handle patients in the shortest time possible to reduce the time which the patients experience much pain and more so in the emergency cases such as accidents, child delivery and other serious illnesses such as cancer among others (Latif et al. 2017).

From that perspective, the issue of 5G in healthcare has been an issue that is termed as the latest innovation applied in some of the improved countries, and it is spread to other areas. Applying a 5G network has proved to be an efficient method in which the doctors and other medical personnel are using to operate the machines and transmit the information. Through its application, the patient experience is improving by great scope and which shows that it will be of excellent health in healthcare departments, which will be fully enhanced in all the healthcare stations across the world. This paper will be addressing the entire issue of the application of a 5G network in healthcare and how it has and it is expected to improve the quality of healthcare being provided to the patients.

The reason that makes the issues of the 5G network in healthcare to be in the mouths of many people currently is due to the impact the innovation brings to the healthcare sector across the world. Initially, before introducing the 5G network in healthcare, there have been incidences of delays in transmitting information from one place to another for healthcare purposes, which has led to the suffering of the patients, including developing permanent disability and also death in extreme situations. Therefore, it has attracted attention to the medical officer and other stakeholders, such as telecommunication companies, to develop a network that can enable communication in those healthcare institutions faster and efficiently. Through its application, communication is becoming better and better as time goes by, and it is projected that shortly, the application fo the 5G network will spread worldwide (Latif et al. 2017).

The reason for selecting the topic about the 5G network in healthcare is out of its impact on the people. There has been a great challenge that people have been facing and more so in processing their medical information so that they can get access to the medications. As a result, they have suffered further losses from the delays and has caused a lot of inconvenience to both the healthcare institutions and the patients. From all those issues discussed above, I decided to choose the 5G network in healthcare as the topic which I need to address in this paper (Chen et al. 2017).

There has been an issue with the installation of the network, which includes the building's cost, the advantages that the system has to the healthcare, and the disadvantages, challenging the implementation and application of the network in the healthcare institutions. For that reason, I will first focus on the significant advantages of the 5G network in healthcare, pushing the governments and other stakeholders to install and apply it.

The first advantage is on the fastening of machines' speed when processing the documents used for medical purposes. With the application of 5G, machines tend to work so fast and more so when downloading documents used in the patients' medication. Initially, before the introduction of 5G, the networks used were relatively slow in that it would take some time to download and upload files and the processing of the information and giving out results. In other incidences, the network would even fail form some hours, thereby meaning that there is a stoppage of operations and thereby resulting in too much suffering to the people from time to time. With the 5G network application, it is just a matter of second, and everything is okay, which makes the patient get attended in the shortest time possible (Selem et al. 2019).

The other key advantage of the 5G in healthcare is ensuring efficient communication during virtual meetings and contacting doctors in different geographical areas. There has been the concept of medical treatment where the chief doctor is far away from the patient, and therefore there is the use of virtual communication with the nearest doctor to give directions on the steps he or she should take on the patient. Also, the junior doctor requires providing feedback to the chief doctor on the patient's progress. For such communication to be efficient, there is a need to have a network that can make it much more comfortable. Through the application of 5G, such contact has been enhanced and made efficient, thereby showing the network's advantage to Healthcare (Chen et al. 2018).

But, there are some of the disadvantages or challenges facing the application of the 5G network in healthcare. One of the significant downfalls of implementing the 5G system in healthcare is the cost of installing and maintaining the network in the healthcare facility. The research shows that there are high costs of installation and the maintenance of 5G in healthcare and therefore, it requires those organizations so be financially stable to stain the network. Comparing the expenses incurred in installing and maintaining the system and the income it may bring, it may be inefficient to install the network in small healthcare organizations. Therefore, that is one of the significant challenges which affects the 5G in healthcare. The other disadvantage of that there has been some health challenges that the 5G in healthcare has brought to the patients from time to time has been a significant challenge to the implementation. The radioactivity in this network is too high and, although make the transmission faster, brings about suffering to the patients (Selem et al. 2019).

Considering both the advantages and the challenges that 5G in healthcare has had to both the patients and the healthcare organizations, it is worth saying that it is essential to implement the network. This is because the advantages are more than disadvantages. Therefore the position in this dilemma whether to continue implementing the 5G system in healthcare is that the implementation should continue. To the parts where there are some challenges, some control measures can be implemented to ensure that those challenges are minimized to maximize the benefit of its application to the patients and the healthcare department at large. Through that, then the people will have the opportunity to access quality healthcare than before.

My thought about implementing 5G in healthcare is that it should be implemented and applied in all healthcare organizations from time to time. The judgment comes from the weigh between the challenges and the advantages of the 5G network in healthcare and how it has saved many lives worldwide. Through the system, people can get quality healthcare from abroad even without physically visiting those places, and which has dramatically reduced the transport cost to those areas from time to time. From that point of view, I would suggest that the network be implemented in all hospitals and enhance interconnectivity between the organizations from time to time, thereby ensuring an improved provision of healthcare services to patients across the world. With a healthy community, all the other economic sectors will be boosted by a great scope. Therefore, I feel that there is a great need to apply the network across the world widely.
