Master Degree in Accounting - Personal Statement Example

After college graduation, I begin to contemplate on where fate would take me. I believe that this comes to the mind of every individual who just finished a chapter of his life and is just about to start a new one. Having attained my hard earned bachelor's degree in accountancy, I am very much excited in applying the new knowledge and skills I have acquired in my chosen field. My position as an accountant at GM Financial Center has provided me an excellent venue in applying the concepts I have learned.

This three-year hands-on experience has further broadened my skills by acquainting me with various situations and possibilities beyond what are taught inside the four walls of classroom. However, my quest for knowledge and development instills me with the passion to learn more beyond what I already know. I believe that I should not stop but strive to achieve my full potential My decision to pursue a master's degree in accountancy is part of my quest in furthering my growth and development as a person and an employee.

This program will certainly boost my knowledge through the new concepts which will be presented by my professors. Considering that I am from Egypt, I believe that I will surely learn a lot of new things in this country. The acquisition of knowledge will be more efficient as I will be dealing with the nest teachers and other students from around the globe. Aside from this, I know that my interaction with my classmates will also enable me to enhance my social skills, make me more open-minded, and improve my knowledge on world culture.

This university is the best venue for me to gain all these. I believe that a master's degree will be my ticket in fulfilling my life's purpose-to contribute in the success of business organizations. I am born with an innate desire contribute what I have to the business world. With my knowledge and experience, this will be in my field of interest-accountancy. By attaining a master's degree, I will be more eligible to work for large firms which will provide me with greater opportunities to grow and more challenging tasks.

After college graduation, I know that fate is not something which I should wait for but it is something that I should work for. Thus, I choose to pursue a master's degree to further my strengths and competencies, to widen my horizon, to reach my full potential, and to fulfill my life's purpose.
