Topic The mind is powerful for mental cognition. It has innate value of mental processes that operate in the construction and deconstruction of knowledge in these post-modern times. It is through it that human beings digest ideas for understanding on the world about, including the effects of correlating facts and symbols and experiences to generate a substantive reflection of life or of events. Neurologists posit that the mind operate through mental representations as meanings develop and changes within the continuum of time. They theorized that the mind process information, generate symbolic representation, and of knowledge construction. In fact, thinking explores everything, including the bizarre and the impossible. People makes sense of all empirical experiences and spiced these with theoretical ideation to recreate realities for innovative decision-makings. Most decision-makings are products of realities that put human beings either at challenging, confrontational, and transformational experiences. Hence, these pushed them to respond in recreating rational models to transform those obsolete and inaccurate models of perceiving the world. Crook and Gunther (2005) shared the perception that latent experiences can be remodelled and recreated to gain competitive leverage again from this complex social environment through sustained experimentation and trailblazing on new thoughts. Researchers opined that intuition and coming up of new ideas is an opportunity to deconstruct old thoughts and adopt new strategic models for distinctive and practical ends (Crook and Gunther, 2005). Experts opined that cognition is always stimulated by some factors and is acted by numerous variables to inspire a person to respond to or to act on it. The manipulation and discernment on information are simple ways on which people are driven to act and to respond to some incitements. For instance, leaders meet, assess trends, deliberate facts, and come up with recommendations that can be used as blueprint of actions for situations. The outcomes are first being perceived and expected before it’s actualized to generate desired results. Through this, those who are rationalizing the plan, actions and outcome are more knowledgeable of potential opportunities to explore including the potential and intermittent impact of the action. Businessmen can only competitively leverage if they can rationalize decision-makings and adopt innovation for competitive leveraging. Hence, they will delve at new models of thoughts to set their creativity at liberty. Information may overwhelm them but those who do through analyses of trends are those who can optimize information to their advantage. Logic with creativity is indeed a key. Thus, those with mental models can immediately transform self to adapt on rapid changes in the market. For the world is not simply out there; it’s also within the minds. That being said, these leaders may either adopt the rational model of decision-making, or that decision-making by appropriateness, and the bureaucratic model of decision-making. The first refers to the utilization of knowledge to determine the action plan and of consequences. The second refers to the application of standards, say in business management, to come up with right decision-makings. The third refers to decision-makings that are dependent on the hierarchy and relation of departments within an organization. Decisions can be top-down or down-up in patterns provided the systems and its operation are sustained for organizational growth. Well, the hierarchical nature of an organization obviously creates unease and ambiguity in rendering decisions but if business leaders enjoined all stakeholders in decision processes, transformational changes and action can occur. What is more important however is that these leaders are able to “(a) comprehend the power and limitations of mental models; (b) able to test the importance of mental models against this rapidly changing environment to generate new models or portfolio of models; (c) overcome the hindrances of change and of re-engineering infrastructures as well as others thinking; and, (d) transform one’s world by acting quickly on new models by experimenting and applying processes for assessing and strengthening models (Crook and Gunther, 2005 p.14).” Through this cycle, the cognitive models used in creative decision-makings keep philosophers, leaders, and strategists at the momentum to produce the best thoughts of human minds (Shapira, 1997). This is also very important for security management. Forensic experts, investigators, and authorities should not only be equipped with knowledge on criminal behaviours and unpredictable tendencies but also how for instance a hijacker could use airplanes to launch an offensive attack with a magnitude of effect (Crook and Gunther, 2005). The mental models can help for quick response to make a different understanding. Doing a gestalt flip can make a dramatic difference in making sense and in perceiving development (Crook and Gunther, 2005). Indeed, the brain has much analytical power, logical genetic make-up moulded by experiences. This is proven by the changes of civilization, improvement of communication, development of superhighways, explorations outside our planets, and the modes of how we interact with family members from afar. Human mind implores the best characteristic on how discovers and inventors dynamically changed the world (Crook and Gunther, 2005). Its neurons, synapses and neurochemical composition played such incomprehensible infinite power to rationalize everything pointed by our sensory make-up to come up with confident and credible decision-making (Taylor, 2002). Human mind recreate realities, including those that are not there. Positive thought encourage diversity and affirmative action through healthy interaction and discourse to reach at what was once perceived as impossible. This can help unleashed thinkers from organizational cages and innovate to democratize systems. This could also encourage collective venues to share insights instead of perpetuating the traditional close system that alienates, oppressed and stunt the free thinking of people. Instead of getting used of pervading over conformity, let diversity of intellectual and intelligent cognition take place for a more creative and colourful world to live (Rowe, 2004).
