Task: Operations Management work on Night Club Events The paper gives an overview of Russia and China waging an economic warfare on United States of America by deliberately trying to undermine our currency and collapse of the financial sector. Despite being economically wounded today, United States of America is regarded as the most powerful state in terms of military and economic assets. Researchers have indicated that days to come, America will remain constant as the most powerful country on earth for a long time. However, the United States military and economic strength would go down if attacked by other great countries in the world such as China and Russia. Chances that the super power would diminish in the next decades are clearly high. The best positioned countries to challenge America’s prominence are found in East Asia and globally by China. (Abdelnour, Wesley & Herman pg57) Background Relationship between China and United States of America It is believed that if Chinas economic growth continues consistently the next two decades just in the same pace as the last two decades, then it would surpass and rival the United States of America in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) .GDP is not measured in terms of dollar but in terms of purchasing power parity. Even if Chinas economic status does not does not reach the Americas standards, it is notable that the growth has created a fundamental political inspiration in the entire East Asia. The economic clout extends East Asia affecting both great powers and the developing countries due to enthusiasm for raw materials and competitive prices for low cost goods. China is resolute in climbing the technological ladder, a clear indication that it might affect United States of America economically. Already China is regarded as the most dominant military powerhouse in the entire East Asia thereby making significant strides creating excellence in the armed forces. Relationship between Russia and United States of America The tense relationship between USA and Russia has been fuelled by Americans interest in Crimea with regard to the sanctions that have been attached to Russia recently by President Barrack Obama of the United States. Several banks have been blacklisted by the US government following the Russian infiltrations in Ukraine. Majority of Russian businessmen in the United States who have close links with Vladimir Putin have been expelled from the country. President Obama has also come with strategies to tame some parts of the Russian economy comprising both the oil and gas industries which form a bunch of Russians export. (Abdelnour, Wesley & Herman pg29) According to President Barack Obama, the action would interfere with the global economy but would restrict threatening movements by Russian military in Ukraine. The US government is imposing costs to Russia as a result of the concluded referendum. The war of words between the two Presidents has caused anxieties through the two countries. Russia through its parliament has since claimed some parts of Crimea especially Sevastopol city. The tussle circumnavigating around Crimea has cost the Russian stock market with Russian influential businessmen getting more affected. It is in the public knowledge that the businessmen have close ties with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Legally, Crimea remains part of Ukraine, a situation that Russia has fully backed in a bid to upholding Ukraine’s territorial integrity in a signed memorandum in 1994.The treaty was also signed by the United States, France and United Kingdom. Sources indicate that Russia has already approved military forces in Ukraine despite warnings and consequences from United States of America. Ukraine has responded by saying that invasion in its territory would be viewed as illegitimate. Support Questions Must the economy have an entity or a keeper to help in the protection from attacks? Can economic threats be progressed through exploitation of vulnerabilities when the confidence for protecting it is low? Is it true that the greatest danger to the economy of United States is driven by non-state and wealthy state actors? Is the United States facing economic crunch? Will the situation create a third world war amongst the nations? What are the impacts of the tension between the conflicting countries? It is very obvious that countries must promote bilateral relationships in order to boost their economic goodwill. The case of United States exhibits a clear scenario whereby it is in a tussle with both China and Russia. If they were in good terms, then both the countries would trade carefully hence boosting both economies. Countries must always have good relations to ensure that they both mutually benefit from each other in terms of economic prowess. It is very clear that economic threats are likely to advance exploitation of minor vulnerabilities especially when the confidence of an economy is very low. With regard to the crisis of 2008, that is regarded as self-inflicted through cumulative affects emanating from disruptions of all manner can create crunches and public confidence crises. The scenario would affect the economy overwhelmingly Research indicates that both non-state and state operatives are in the forefront to create harm to the economy of United States so as to benefit. Usually, they have the aptitude to adjust the tactics and strategies to attack particular vulnerabilities. Regulation and policy could always act as protective measures to the economy when such dangers arise since the law is subjected to unintended consequences. Non state actors and Wealthy states have played a pivotal role in posing threats since they are influenced by the Authoritarian rule or regimes which give them support to carry out their operations. Persistent efforts are usually made so as to gain in the long run. Currently the economic status of United States has adversely decreased as compared to the early years. This is attributed to the poor bilateral relations it has heard with both China and Russia which have a lot of investments in the country. Constant squabbles amongst the nation have ensured that goods and services are not exchanged to earn foreign exchange. Economic goodwill cannot thrive when nations are fighting over power and resources amongst themselves. The situation in the United States of America might create a third World War if not handled. The tension has continued amongst the nations with the emergence of nuclear weapons to create destructions. Each country boasts of having nuclear weapons and machinery to cause mass destruction. It is very clear those countries which boast of having nuclear weapons have always ended up destroying their country thus has created attacks through emergence of terrorists. The impacts of tension between the countries include economic recession, political instability amongst nations, emergence of refugee camps and increase in terrorist attacks in the participating countries. Bombing are usually the order of the day. Conclusion The current trend of happenings may lead to the rockiest time between the Russia and United States since the collapse of Soviet Union in 1991.Despite the fact Russians saying that Americans may say that borders are untouchable; there have been cases that America has stood for self-determination. Majority of individuals have prophesized that World War 3 will emerge since the battles have caused a debacle that will never end. The issue of nuclear weapons is also playing a major role in that a journalist has been overhead saying that should they be worried of Russians nuclear arms to reduce the United States radioactive ash. In fact it is also indicated that the first person to mention World War 3 was Leonid Kravchuk who is the president of the republic of Ukraine. Chinas relentless rise has created more problems with United States. It is clear that America cannot stop Chinas progress but can tamper with its economic growth. Americans policy on China states that it seeks to incorporate China in the World economy and at the same time facilitate its economic development with a view of making it wealthy. The United States policy is a total contradiction of what it is undertaking at the moment. It would be a total lie to state that this is a reality. Economic warfare is a form of aggression, whether persuaded by non-state or state actors. Nevertheless, the right of self-defense and aggression as preserved in international law is of no use when answering economic threats between nations. The international laws do not clearly explain the concept of aggression. Assessment While all the states except China are for an amicable solution that will result in peaceful co-existence, Russia is deemed to act contrary thus jeopardizing its relation with other western countries. This has brought about sanctions on Russia. The economic clout of the nations would only be boosted through dialogue. Russia’s blatant disrespect to the United Nations principle sets a very bad precedent to other nations that have an obligation to respect, restore and protect the fundamental principles that are enshrined in the United Nations charter. There must be economic goodwill to safeguard these fundamental territorial rights. Works Cited Abdelnour, Ziad K, Wesley A. Whittaker, and Herman Cain.
