Use of volunteers and interns and volunteers is essential in assisting the project’s staff thereby reducing the cost of staffing, as volunteers are not entitled to a regular remuneration. Volunteers practice self-determination by offering their effort in the project. Interns benefit by getting experience for career development in their fields of study The project managers can also reduce cost by employing cost-effective methods of operation in the process of performing the project.
