Music Psychology: Experiment Report A study of the fidelity of music aims at finding out whether equipments used in bringing out musical fidelity give the listener a hearing experience that is physically impossible for the human ear. The study seeks to find out if digital audio consumption degrades the quality of music. Musical Fidelity is a process aimed at producing sound closest to the original sound frequency. Musical fidelity is made better by the challenge and embrace of new technology designs as well as coming up with more traditional ways that allow greater performance. Modern music equipment brings out fidelity in different ways use of signal sources such as digital audio broadcasting and digital audio tape. This study seeks to relate the music fidelity to the instruments used in modern day technology. How do the instruments bring out this fidelity? Do these instruments compromise music effects or music quality? Introduction In the music field fidelity means, the sound of stereo equipment is above level, nearly just right, and high quality the degree to which an electronic device accurately produces desired output. Fidelity implies that the sound produced is almost like the original band sound. Musical fidelity is accomplished by accuracy of an electronic system reproducing the sound or image of the input signal. When taking into consideration and categorizing devices that create sound differentiation of musical toys, instruments, and installations is difficult. New musical devices are differently successful in incisive the theoretical margin between instrument and non-instrument. For the purposes of this investigation, to define musical fidelity musical instruments also needs explanation. .Ability of an individual to process dealings and musical framework functions of social interaction human -made systems in relation to the user’s point of view. Expression is not a vigorous activity, but conceived as a communication aspect. For an individual to posses, the aptitude to pass a message musical depends on a number of communicative factors and the options available to a performer affect performance practice. Ease of passing a message and capturing the attention of a listener depends on accuracy and method used. Method The methodology employed the use of experimental between subjects within subjects to obtain the diverse variables existing within a musical psychology. Close observations among a large youthful population with reference to different intervals. The collective usage of different rhythms, tunes and musical pieces is to depict a common trend among the provided population. This methodology also provides extended views on the personal attraction to musical vibration. This is in regards to the common musical category or classification used in campaign awareness. Random selection of the youthful population also enabled to establish a connection between the audience and the existing culture. Participants Total number of participants was 100 teenage boys and girls from the age of 15 to 23.Participants randomly selected from different high schools, universities and colleges. The use of an elderly age group of 50 male and female members also helped to identify a test experiment to justify the obtained results. Materials The study utilized questionnaires to gather information from different members. The use of musical pieces offers a variety of different tone to achieve variables among the provided population. The use of random music ranging from, Jazz, Rnb, hip-hop, dancehall and reggae provides a preference list. A random selection with repeated musical pieces to displays the frequency of selection among the youthful group. The research also entailed playing different sounds within different periods of the day. This aimed to achieve a desired mood to show the connection between the sounds played and the audience. The use of a response chart also aided in identifying a rating scale to show the difference between individual preferences hence establishing a group categorization. Different audio machines aided in establishing a connectivity aspect between different sounds in the research study. In conclusion, the research also used instrumental to establish the musical piece popularity. Procedure Collected information was from different institutions. Students were asked randomly to take part in the study. The questions focused on different music and the participant preference to every genre. The questions focused on how music fidelity affects quality of music and music choice. How does use of instruments that bring out fidelity affect performance of the listener? Results Questions were well answered. Song preference was clear among the members. Boys and girls answered questions differently 15% of the boys prefer listening to hip-hop while only 2% of the girls would listen to hip-hop music. Fidelity is caused by different modes that relate to individuals differently skill-based action is one of the mode descriptive methods of musical interaction, in that rapid, coordinated movements, in response to continuous signals describe. In most situations, an individual depends on previous experiences that try (Hallam 2009, pp30). The participants articulated that expressivity is used to converse the virtue of communication design in complete terms, yet communicative interfaces rely on the goals of the consumer and the context of output perception to generate information. Participants listen to music based on the current emotion or for emotional satisfaction. Participants confirmed music fidelity is dependent on information or emotion the song brings out in the listener. 70 % of participants agreed that musical fidelity is developing, making the conveying of information applicable because sound is transmitted above average, nearly perfect (Hallam et al 2009, pp40-50). Music is successful when emotions are brought out, or lives of people change because of listening to a message in a song. Music is a magnificent piece of art developed to provide a connection between the audience and the characters. The opening presentation evokes mixed interpretations resulting to a miscommunication on in a given musical piece. The definition of hip-hop originates from the late years of the 19th century and is a characterized by the early DJs, who would define hip-hop traditions by the general lifestyle (Hallam 2006, pp100). The early DJs in the industry include DJ Blaze a legendary from South Africa. DJ Blaze is considered the center of the music orientation to another population and general culture of the music classification. The history of hip-hop dates to the year 1973 in the state of New York. During this time, KoolHerc a Jamaican was a spin master in South Bronx and began looping specific records by making breaks of intervals. The technique later replayed tunes by turntables and the use of mixers to produce a kind of song with an accelerated groove. The creation of the groove influenced a group of kids dancing to the tunes and the art soon spread over a large area as most crowds gathered during spins in the parks. Richard Colon was a leader of the early hip-hop that also dominated the 70s creating a rare type of hip-hop class category (Hallam et al 2009, pp108-110). The creation of the categorical gang music involves brake dancing and a series of formulated music that has widely been presented using graffiti as a popularity factor greatly promoting Hip Hop. Music is a categorical music genre that has a classification of old school and the new school sound that is highly embraced by the hip-hop fans. The old school version characterized by break dances that has popping as a major scenic standard. The set is a combination of footwork and pop culture display through the locking technique. The new school is also a definition of the new culture and transformation in hip-hop direction (Deutsch 2013, pp50). Hip-hop has completely transformed the approach on music to a significant culture changing other forms of music appreciation as many dances emerged. This has also influenced the music to the next level where the dancers have adopted the hip hop dance styles and the general lifestyles. The hip-hop music has a strong effect in the society and does not prove to fade away but instead musically develops into a complex stage and phase. Jazz as a musical piece can be classified as the expression art of music display. Jazz music is believed to originate from New Orleans musically spreading to Mississippi river through St. Louis and then into Chicago (Hallam et al 2009, pp120). Jazz is viewed as the fundamental rhythms of a population in relation to real life situations and circumstances by a reassessment of the tradition deeds or virtues. The composition of the jazz music is presented in the black American traditions and way of life. The common evolution of the jazz music can be observed from the development of the gospel tunes, tribal drums and generally field screaming. Jazz music is an attribute of the human life in relation to the routine functionality of the same. The hidden meaning of the word jazz entails an explanation of vulgar language with reference to behavior. The early definition of jazz music was related to immorality of life. The evolution of civilization has depicted jazz an epitome of musical art with a deep sense on the melodic phrasing displayed by the composition and performance. Conclusion Jazz as a musical piece can be classified as the expression art of music display. Jazz music is believed to originate from New Orleans music spreading to Missippi river through St. Louis and then into Chicago. Jazz is viewed as the fundamental rhythms of a population in relation to real life situations and circumstances by a reassessment of the tradition deeds or virtues.
