On the other hand, there are adverse impacts of nurses’ work environment and workload on caring, and adopting some versions of patient-centredness may diminish nursing work and undermine nurses’ concept of caregiving. However, based on the critical importance of building nurse-patient relationships in holistic nursing, care professionals are trained to develop trust-based nurse-patient relationships with open communication channels with patients. The research questions addressed in this paper relate to the impact of the nurse-patient relationship on the healing process in the patient, the model of relationship-based-care, strengthening the nurse-patient relationship through the I2E2 model, the philosophy of the careful nursing and professional practice model based on the theory of relationship-based-care, and the integration of nursing with relationship-based care, and the development of a nurse/ patient relationship as an essential component of nursing education to improve integrity in nursing. ...
