The flexible children with permissive parents become impulsive and may live life with no definite direction. Children with flexible temperaments and with permissive parents develop into domineering and stubborn adults who do anything to achieve what they desire. The behavior gets developed due to the parent’s understanding nature. However, parents with permissive parenting styles with children with flexible temperament give more attention to their children’s activity while maintaining a distance not to control most aspects (Richters 22-23).

In this paper, we will discuss authoritarian and authoritative parenting styles for the developmental stage between birth and adolescence in order to know how each of these styles affects the children and the parents.
Temperament plays a vital role concerning assessment of the merits of parenting styles because parents hugely impact child development and also shape their child’s psychological vision. Bad temperament can readily mar the child’s development process and such children have been shown to become tough introverts in their later lives according to research studies.
Development Styles in Psychology. Development in human beings starts from conception until death. Development is the growth that is manifested in human beings throughout their lifespan. Development styles are aimed at shaping how one thinks and acts throughout their life (Grusec 2006).
Hence, from the moment a child is born, the relationship with those close to him or her should not only be warm but also sensitive and provide the necessary material and emotional support for early and late childhood growth and development (Berk, 2012). The close, warm and sensitive relationship with parents and/or caregivers helps in establishing a rather strong bond that promotes social and emotional development in infants and toddlers.
In this regard, effective parenting helps in bringing children who are morally upright, respectful, and responsible. Bad parenting, on the other hand, results in the bringing up of children who lacks the virtues expected of a person. However, research has shown that most parents today do not bother much about the way their children grow.
