Dear Media,

According to the presentation on the video, Houston University is an institution of choice for students who want to excel. It is widely assumed that the University is famous in the US.  The video gives a false impression that the institution adequately equips students with competitive skills necessary for the job market. The scenes from the video are not realistic because they present principal situation in life. It is a one-sided presentation because it displays the benefits of studying at the University. The video only addresses a few challenges that the graduates from Houston University face in seeking employment. Relying on information from stakeholders in the university is wrong. Instead, they could have focused on the views of employed outsiders who have graduated from the institution. The university does not prepare students fully for the challenges of life as portrayed in the video. According to Nathan (2), students need to learn some of the experience on their own instead of relying on academic institutions.

It is necessary to be motivated and concentrate on studies after watching the video as a student at the university. It is necessary to overlook the challenges that graduates encounter upon completing their studies. However, this fails to guarantee that students can accomplish goals. There are discriminatory acts at the institution that makes it difficult for students to concentrate on their studies. The video fails to present the existing situation in America when organizations employ graduates who have experience. The video does not highlight issues of the cost of education. The information provided by the institutions concerning learning is misleading because students need to take practical lessons to acquire the experience necessary to enhance their survival in the competitive world.  

It is necessary to address the challenges that graduates face upon graduating from university. Students face challenges during their studies because they join institutions without knowing that school life is not easy. The University has been providing students with incomplete information when encouraging them to join the institution. However, upon graduating, they find difficulties fitting into the competitive job market. Additionally, they do not have the skills necessary to handle the challenges of the corporate world. The institutions should focus on the practical aspects of academics at the expense of theories. This writing will create awareness concerning students who are aspiring to handle challenges that come with employment.

  Students are dissatisfied with the programs that they pursue at Houston because the lectures do not meet their expectations. Universities may fail to provide students with complete information concerning their expectations after graduating. Besides, administrators tend to be subjective in addressing challenges that students face. According to Nathan (232), some of the programs offered at the institution favor specific groups of students.  Moreover, the university lacks a feedback channel that determines the progress of its students after graduating. The stakeholders are exaggerating the value of the programs on offer at the University. Lastly, the institution has hidden charges that make life difficult for students.

            Institutions should conduct research prior to advertising the programs that they offer to the public. Importantly, the administrators should be realistic when explaining to the students the challenges that they are likely to face upon graduating (Choosing Houston 1). This is because experience is more important than practical knowledge upon completion of studies.

The institution should offer a brief overview of the evaluation criteria that the administration employs.  This will prepare students psychologically for the challenges that come with studying. Moreover, the university should provide complete information concerning operations at the institution. They should emphasize learning on current affairs by encouraging students to develop entrepreneurial skills necessary for survival. The institution should develop programs that cater to students with special needs (Nathan 235). From the description, the institution appears like a commercial facility because the mode of lecturing limits the potential of students gifted in non-academic activities.

It is possible for institutions to devise programs that prepare graduates for the job market. Presently there are limited opportunities for inexperienced graduates. Hence, lecturers should emphasize practical programs that provide the experience necessary for the competitive job market.  It is necessary to encourage students to embrace entrepreneurship instead of seeking jobs. Moreover, the management should initiate reforms to advance the superiority of education available to students. It is possible to coordinate with graduates when improving the education sector. Instructors in Texas should lobby for a reduction in the cost of academic materials. This will help reduce the cost of schooling in Texas. Students should be encouraged to join groups by forming associations that champion their rights. Lecturers should inform students that experience determines their success after finishing their studies.

Matching the university programs with the demands of the competitive corporate world is necessary for students to realize the benefits of undertaking studies. Universities should consult prior to changing the procedures available to students. It is clear that reforms are necessary when monitoring the approaches that Houston University employs when promoting its academic programs.
