"Role of Media" Media is responsible for inculcating thoughts, cultural values, ideas, views, outfits, outlook and personal dispositions. Methods are varied through which messages are being communicated encompassing oral custom, movies, features or handouts, audios or through computer games or educational CDs. These means directly influence the young minds and also the developing psychology. It is imperative that media users must nurture essential accepted wisdom along with the skills to appraise media communications to evaluate personal and family values, and to implement in life what is learnt for making the life significant.

It is important that adults should get involved in the child's media use to generate the feeling of assistance, co-ordination and co-operation. Media greatly persuades the minds of children and therefore such means are turning out to be the shapers and culture value transformers. It could be believed that media do fling socialization, although incomplete but it does inculcate the feelings and there could be an obvious alterations in the attitude of the child, modifications in habits and beliefs.

This could further be strengthened if co-viewing is done with the adult. Although there are certain repercussions to this also as it takes away the time of the child, social interaction is reduced, there could be more beliefs on fictitious dispositions which generates confusion, it affects the psychology as there are certain values which need to be curtailed otherwise viz. violence, advertising, sexuality etc. Watching more of computer and TV affects the communication and interactive skills and also the academics.

Parents and associated members of family or society plays vital role in developing the psychology of the child. There are various methods which aid in the development of positive predisposition. Encouraging child to read good books based on moral values then gradually with age educating the child so as to keep abreast with the society and what is going around in the society, inculcating the habit of reading newspapers, current events and more printed text encourages the child to develop good reading skills.

Good music entertains the child and also aids in developing an apt to de-stress self and associates. Interactive games encourages fine as well as gross motor co-ordinations. Parents analysis and assistance plays crucial role in developing the personality of the child and also to bring out the hidden talent. It is therefore essential for parents to take notice about the actions of the child and help the child grow to the full potentials to be the best future citizen. Reference Berns, R. M. (2009).
