Bocconi Economics and Science Master’s Application As long as I remember myself, I always tried to be ahead of myself. Simply put, I always sought to achieve the goals that seemed very distant to me. I was never afraid of difficulties and I believed that nothing could stop me in my way to becoming a success in life. Today, when I am a business management student at King’s college in London and move to the point of my graduation, I slowly realize that something is still missing in my life. The courses I currently study include entrepreneurship and finance, marketing and corporate governance, as well as international business.

My theoretical knowledge and practical skills are multifaceted and diverse. I constantly try to broaden my knowledge of international business and its implications for globalization and market integration. In the meantime, I am increasingly interested in international relations. I have a definite goal of becoming a qualified professional in international relations and obtaining an education that will enable me to operate in complex business environments. As a child, I often heard my parents telling a story of the two world wars and the reasons that had led to them.

They told me that many businesses failed as a result of the ongoing conflict between Germany and other European countries. Apparently, international relations complexities bore heavy consequences on business development in Europe. Since then, I had been convinced that misbalanced international relations and failure to achieve the global consensus were the principal causes behind the Second World War. Today, globalization predetermines the course and direction of business developments in all parts of the world, and international relations can be rightly considered as the key success factor of business profitability and continued growth.

This is one of the reasons why I am applying to Master’s in Economics and Social Science. I am confident that this course will enable me to develop broader understanding of the business relations around the world. I am fascinated by the mix of social and economic subjects. I seek to develop a better idea of international business through the prism of international relations and globalization. I look forward to spending one year abroad, to develop new business and personal ties. I search for educational and cultural novelty.

I would like to develop new personal and professional contacts. These goals and expectations instill in me the belief that Master’s in Economics and Social Science at Bocconi University is the right choice for me. I have sufficient educational background, knowledge, and practical skills to succeed in this course and meet its learning objectives. I was honored with 69% in Bsc Business Management during the 1st year at King’s college (high 2:1) and 67.5% in the second year (high 2:1). I speak French, English, and Italian.

I participated in two different internship programs. I worked with the training manager in the marketing department of Van Cleef & Arpels, creating PowerPoint documents that brought together the history, culture, and new collections in the jewelry house. I was lucky to participate in the international risk and management procedures in Geos EUIR – I was trained to provide support to employees from European institutions traveling to risky countries. I consider my participation in the Master’s course at Bocconi University as a perfect means to support and enrich my knowledge of international relations and their effects on business.

By the time I graduate from King’s College in London in 2011, I will have a degree in Bsc Business Management. I anticipate that my participation in the Economic and Social Science course will mark a new stage in my professional and educational evolution.
