Cultural Beliefs And Societal Understandings In CinemaThe film “Being There” is film acted based on an American comedy of 1979. The film concentrates on a middle-aged man in the townhouse of a wealthy old man who lived in Washington D. C. He is a simple-minded person who for his life has been attending to a garden. Apart from gardening, this man’s knowledge is extremely derived from what he watches on television. The death of his benefactor compelled the character (Chance) is to leave his town (Ashby, 0:29).

This opportunity makes him discover the outside world for the first time. Regardless of his poverty, chance puts on expensive clothes that he got from his former employer. One day as Chance did a camera in a shop capture moving about he saw his image. As he was wondering and wandering concerning the captured image, Chance was struck by Ben Rand’s car. As he was taken to cover, Randy introduces Chance to alcohol for the first time (Ashby, 01:02).Most cultural beliefs and other societal understandings are well depicted when Chance is introduced the United states President.

The president interprets Chance the Gardner’s remarks about how the garden work tremendously changed him. The president then advised him on political and economic issues. The relationship between Chance the Gardner with the president, Chance prominence grows exceptionally quick to national public prominence (Ashby, 01:49). Later Chance’s social life changes particularly when he became medial celebrity following his television talk show has he rose to the top of Washington society. The television is depicted as a major influence in the society and has numerous effects on how the society.

The television exposed Chance to the political and other social classes especially through the opinion poll that reflected him as an unvarnished brand of wisdom in line with the jaded American public. Moreover, the walking of Kozinski's monument on water depicted American vapidity as a neo-Holy Fool (Ashby, 02:12).
