With the acknowledgment that each era presents its values, “A Hard Day’s Night” movie did its best in reflecting the values of then.

The movie presents several themes that were very imminent in the 1960s. With its critically thought scenes; this movie is indeed balanced in conveying the situation of the American society in the 1960s. The struggle for fame is one of the basic elements that are very evident in the movie. The scene of the interview brings out this. Everybody in the 1960s was in pursuit of fame. This implied using any method as is depicted by the way the actors were answering questions from the journalists. They did it in a very comical way and throughout the press conference; they had to be very witty. This is because the questions were not by the journalists for themselves but for their fans. They were though very respectable despite Ringo saying that he was a mocker.

Liberation is also a powerful theme that is also portrayed in this film. Thoughtfulness leads characters to wander around making them to be in control. There is joy in having freedom over what you do. Simplicity is everything in any major artistic work. In the 1960s, there were a lot of pressures and expectations in the movie industry. A break from that monotony is what the “freestyle interview” depicts. People now want to the village on the screen and this is what exactly this film goes into fulfilling. This movie has even been argued to have happened by a mistake because of the way it breaks from the previous rules of filming. Following formalities is overcome by doing the notion of doing one’s thing. Nevertheless, the liberation did not lower the quality of the filming standards only that it impacted the feeling of liberation and diversification to anybody who watched it.

Being real is human. In the 1960s people were forced to mask most things in the name of professionalism. This film overcomes this especially when Ringo’s grandfather asks him to go “parading”. His actions here depict the true essence of being you. It is great to be who you are instead of spending years trying to be who you are not.

A crush on the culture is very evident in this movie. There is a conflict between the youthful and the old generations. This effect was very dominant in the 1960s when American parents were learning new ways of coping with the challenges of both the young and technology. The long hair and probably the dress code were issues of concern here.

The movie is indeed an all-time masterpiece and every event in the movie counts greatly. Though done several years back, its themes find application in modern times. The quest for fame was on the other hand the core reason for disintegration. This was a big blow and the mixing of the feelings which this film presents will take decades to fade away.
