Openness and capacity of adaptation of personality gives the idea of both positive and negative aspects of the personality of a person. Moreover it was founded that personality facets can have both bright and dark sides. In conclusive sentence this report covers different aspects of identity. How did the researchers derive their hypotheses? Studies and research on the process of identification was started by identity status paradigm. This paradigm consists of four main identity bases depending on their sources on commitment and exploration.

This approach divides individuals into different categories. Because of this discrimination individual identity is lost. Elaboration of Marcia’s paradigm was provided by Luyckx and his colleagues. They divided commitment into commitment making and identification with commitment. Commitment making is defined as a degree to which adolescents have made choices to identity making decisions. According to their theory, exploration is the degree to which individuals engage in reflective (process of evaluating and assessment of their decisions) process.

Klimstra (et al) have the idea than some individuals stuck in identity making commitments. It is not surprising that different personality domains are the most predictors in personality making process (Klimstra, el al, 2012). What were the hypotheses? This research includes all the personality facets of the five-factor model and relates them to five dimensions. Researchers expected identity dimensions differentially associated with personality domains. In proper words, they wanted to commitment-making and identification with commitment negatively related to with Neuroticism and positively related with Extraversion, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness.

They also firmly expected that exploration in depth is positively related with Agreeableness and Conscientiousness and exploration in depth positively related to Agreeableness and Openness. 2. Method They took 250 adolescents consisting of high-school boys and girls as sample to be analyzed. Sample age ranges from 15 to 19 years. All the sample students were informed of the study to take place and interested students participated only. A psychology student visited those schools and asked adolescents to fill out questionnaire packet.

They used Dutch language version of the NEO-PI-3. Pros and Cons (strengths and weaknesses) of the research strategy The age when most of the people take decisions regarding their future is between 15 to 19 years. It is the time when children stop relying on their parents for most of the needs. So, it is a major strength of this research. Students were informed before analysis that their personality and identity information is going to be calculated. It might make them extra conscious while filling out of questionnaire.

In such situation most of the people answer most of the questions wrong trying to hide short comings of their individual personality. Most of the thinking cannot be done in a limited window of time and also mind in presence of some other person thinks differently than in alone state. This was the major weakness of the research results to be monitored. Are the variables operationalized appropriately? Be sure to discuss both the independent and dependent variables? The
