Those from the USA are likely to aim at careers in industries since they are exposed to technology and industrialization at an early stage. Children from Nigeria, on the other hand, are likely to aim at common professions like teaching although many girls get married before finishing their education. In the end, US children are likely to be better off economically.
Nkechi, a young woman in Abuja, is expecting her sixth child. At the time of birth, she plans to go to the village midwife. Her husband is the sole breadwinner. On the other hand, Elizabeth, a woman of the same age, but living in Los Angeles, is expecting her second child. She has attended prenatal clinics thrice in the company of her husband, an elementary school teacher. Her earnings from her grocery store are enough to pay her medical bills.

In conclusion, although the I.Q. of the children from both countries might be the same genetically, the child born in the USA is likely to have better intellect development than the one in Abuja, Nigeria. This is because the one in the USA is exposed to high-quality healthcare, good nutrition and has a close relationship with the parents. Read More
