IDENTITY Nam Post The society is described from the individual characteristics of the people who make it. In most cases, people interact on different grounds and form multidimensional relationships which shape their personality. In this respect, people tend to attain their identity on such different circumstances. It is worth to note that identity is the general characteristic of an individual in regard to behavior and personality. Development of identity is influenced by several factors that range from childhood experiences, interaction with others in different social setting and genetic aspect.

The mode of relationship that may exist between an individual and others may equally influence general identity (Carbonell, 2008). It has been noted that past relationship experiences define the present behavior. In most cases, one may be blamed for some uncommon behavior with critical investigation into the cause of such observation. It is therefore in the interest of the society to tolerate each other due to diverse socio-economic and political background which creates a specific identity in an individual.

In that regard, the assertion of this writer on identity is valid. Post 2 There are several factors that may brand the identity of an individual. The knowledge people have about different communities, social groups are also important in identifying a person.

In most cases, the far we have travelled or depth of our interaction with people of different social affiliation makes us develop specific mentality. Geographical origin of people may be used to associate them with identity of such a population. For instance, when one comes from Middle East, the first thing that comes into the mind is that of a Muslim. Cultural affiliation takes center stage in shaping the identity of people. In this aspect, culture includes that traditional norms associated with where one come from or prevailing behavior of a given cohort like in the case of school set up (Carbonell, 2008).

Identity is also not statistic as it is an ongoing process. In essence, identity can be transformed extensively in regard to the rate and level of individual interaction. In this respect, the assertion of the writer on the concept of identity is true and valid.ReferenceCarbonell, M. (2008). How to solve the people puzzle: Understanding personality patterns.
