Islam Islam Islam is a very vibrant, vast, humble, tolerant and eternal religion. It is being studied not only by its followers but even by various other individuals. Several concepts provided by Islam through its hold book of Quran have been seen as a part of reality. Islam came into existence when mankind was buried in the dark nights of insanity, insensitivity, indecency and was in state of ignorance. It was at that time when ALLAH, the one ever living most gracious most merciful, send upon his mankind a gift in form of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), His last Prophet. Islam acted as a ray of light in the dark night of disbelieve and ignorance. Being the youngest of world’s great few religions, Islam has gained huge significance and is followed by a very large population. People from very diverse backgrounds follow Islam. The day of Hajj when all these people irrespective of their identity, caste, creed, color, race, nationality, sect and ethnicity unite to recite Kalima, offer prayers and stand in one row shoulder to shoulder with each other. It is generally thought that Islam begins with the birth of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), which is not the case. Islam existed way before the birth of Holy soul. The Holy Quran testifies this fact with the following verse Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (the Quran) into your heart, in accordance with Gods will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers (Surah 2:97).(Origin of Islam—Quranic Revelation, 2002). There is not a distinct difference between the spiritual and luxurious factors of lifestyle in Islam; all factors of a Muslims lifestyle are to be focused to providing Allah. Islam extended almost instantly beyond its homeland in the Arabian Peninsula, and now has considerable impact in African-American, throughout Japan, European countries, and America. (Patheos Library, 2008). In the course of almost six hundreds of years, from VII to XIII AD, Islamic society has shown its visibility in a continuous conversation with other societies and societies. In the last example, this visibility was marketed by the soul of religious and social patience existing in the Oikumene of the Arab-Muslim Caliphate, which expanded from the Indus to Gibraltar. The Nearby knowledge and Ancient purpose became element areas of the Islamic religious lifestyle. In circumstances of political, legal and religious pluralism within the structure of Islam, the designers of the traditional lifestyle of the Arab-Muslim ancient were not only Arabs, but also associates of many other individuals. Despite various mishaps and conflicts as well as the various mishaps within the Caliphate itself, Baghdad, Cairo, and Cordoba became the significant social centers which described the course of connections with other societies. (Kirabaev, N. Islamic Civilization and West). Since it’s very starting, Islam was at the gateways of European countries. Merely 12 decades after the fatalities of the prophet Muhammad, Muslims were in Armenia, Atlanta, Georgia, Dagestan and elsewhere, such as places of the Byzantine Kingdom. Less than four decades later, Muslims were in the country. 12 decades later, they were in the eastern places of this particular language, and in almost all the places of the Med. Sea from the region of the island of Malta to Sicily to Majorca to Rhodes to the region of the region of the island of Malta and others. Extensive places in Southern eastern and Southern eastern European countries came under Islamic concept for over 500 decades, finishing only at the starting of the twentieth Millennium. (Europe and Islam: Shared History, Shared Identity. 2006) Muslim scholars have done great jobs in contributing towards the fields of psychology, philosophy, ethics, education, mathematics, chemistry and humanities. ‘Abu Bakr Mohammad Ibn Zakariya al-Razi (864-930 A.D.) was a Hakim, an alchemist and a philosopher. In medicine, his contribution was so significant that it can only be compared to that of Ibn Sina. Some of his works in medicine e.g. Kitab al- Mansoori, Al-Hawi, Kitab al-Mulooki and Kitab al-Judari wa al- Hasabah earned everlasting fame. Kitab al-Mansoori, which was translated into Latin in the 15th century A.D., comprised ten volumes and dealt exhaustively with Greco-Arab medicine’ (Muhammad Ibn Zakariya Al-Razi). ‘Abu Ali al-Hussain Ibn Abdallah Ibn Sina was born in 980 A.D. he was the most famous physician, philosopher, encyclopaedialist, mathematician and astronomer of his time. His major contribution to medical science was his famous book al-Qanun, known as the "Canon" in the West. The Qanun fi al-Tibb is an immense encyclo- paedia of medicine extending over a million words’ (Ibn Sina). Jabir Ibn Haiyan, the alchemist Geber of the Middle Age groups, is usually known as the dad of chemistry. Abu Musa Jabir Ibn Hayyan, sometimes known as al-Harrani and al-Sufi, was the son of the druggist (Attar). As Islam is a divine path and embodies a human way of life, Muslims are confident that since culture is the expression of the genius of a people, there is no justification for conceiving of a culture as being either sublime or mean and lowly. The famous example of tolerance in Islam can be derived from none other than Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) who experienced various issues, prayed for the well being of all communalities and ordered the angels to not harm anyone in any community. Besides that Hajj is the best example where Muslims display their tolerance towards their Muslim brothers no matter from where ever do they belong. To the present date four of the Muslim leaders have won Nobel Prize in Peace keeping, Anwar Saadat, Yasser Arafat, Iran’s Shirin Ebadi, and now Mr. El-Baradei. Recently with the promotion of a film, which displayed offensive content in respect of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), Muslims protested in several countries with extremely peaceful protests being conducted in Middle East and several other Islamic Nations. Islam has taught for modesty, simplicity, decency, respect; strong believe in the institution of marriage, hard work, education, prayer, truth, piety, tolerance, and humbleness. So shall Islam stand for its purpose through all the odds till the Day of Judgment.
