ISLAM s Discussion The Pillars of Islam” Christians pronounce and translated YHWH into Yahweh that supposedly mean the samething. God Almighty was the name the early Hebrews used in reference to EL Shaddai while El, Eloah in singular and in plural Elohim means God especially in reference to non-Hebrews who worshipped small gods and deities. Allah, which many Muslims believe to be their God, is a wrong reference to be the real God people worship. Allah is a middle eastern moon that is worshipped by many people to date.

While Muhammad was recruiting his servants, he came across a group of people who worshipped this god and recruited them in his camp. This tribe eventually used their god as their tribe’s name. Jehovah is a name that was used to curse out demons and therefore should not be used in reference to God. ‘Jeh’ means a seductress demon while ‘hovah’ is a Hebrew name that means ruin. German translators mis-transliteration while translating the Latin word Jahweh. Therefore, YHWH is an acronym that comes from Hebrew from the words Yodh, He, Waw, He.

According to all the religions, every prophet coming under God establishes itself as the way. Historical studies of religion does not show any relationship of these prophets neither does it show any common interest except for the fact that God almighty is the greatest and His established laws through the prophet must be followed. According to Christians, Jesus was given the 10 commandments that I supposedly the way to the Lord. The Muslims have the 5 pillars and they are from prophet Muhammad and they believe he is the way to the Lord.

Every religion has his own way and prophet leading to God. Discussion 2: “Jihad and Peace”The Islamic goal is to submit to God. Through submission, God intensifies His love for humankind. It is also however, important to notice that the word Islam in itself means submission or surrender. A quote in Quran says “We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord.

We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have surrendered (2:136 Arabic Muslim hood). Peace (Al-Salaam) which is a secondary root of Islam has no point of Islam. The Quran makes it clear that Islam is all about submission to God. Differences between greater Jihad and lesser JihadGreater Jihad is a fight in the spiritual real that aims at every, Muslim to keep upright with God. Many Muslims do not know about this but only understands the lesser Jihad that involves the physical war against the enemies of Muslim (Peters, 2005).

If you could clear up one misunderstanding represented in the media about Islam, what would you correct? That Islam is not about all about war and terrorism but it is a religion that strongly loves God and God gives respect life since it. The West is always against Muslims for the fact that Muslims engage in lesser Jihad as they try to neutralize the enemies of Muslim. The physical battle fought by Muslims in the world is what the West dislikes. It is however very difficult to convince the West about lesser Jihad but constant education and publication of the Quran concerning jihad can help limit and reduce the perception of the West against Muslims.
