The World Health Organization reveals that advertising tobacco is dangerous to the economic status of the country due to various reasons. To begin with, through advertisement, more young people after being aware of the product seek for job opportunities in tobacco manufacturing firms where they commence developing health problems. An increased Mortality rate of the young generation diminishes fruitful hopes as regards to the prosperity of the country. The reason for failure of the country to prosper is that young people are more reliable in performing specific tasks in organizations than the aging people who turn out to lack potential in carrying out similar tasks. Failure of the aged individuals to undertake various tasks leads to incomplete performance of the organizations’ objectives. Unmet organizational targets lower the overall productivity of an industry leading to poor remunerations given to employees (200). Different individuals consume tobacco manufactured products due to various reasons. For one, some individuals opt for the products because of peer influence where else others consume tobacco to relieve stress. Opinionatedly, it is worth noting that people should have better ways of spending their leisure time. There should also be other ways of hindering persons from stressful events. For instance, there should be free counseling sessions, which basically accommodate all tobacco smokers and sniffers. The principal reason for the counseling programs is to input better problem solving tactics to different persons. Through improved methods of handling personal problems, individuals are able to undertake constructive measures concerning on how to spend their income. Measures to regulate adverts as regards to tobacco When passing product information to the public, there is the use of diverse media depending on the choice of the person in charge of the marketing team. Some of the preferred ways of passing over product knowledge to other people include, televisions, radios, through short message services, finally through promotions. Advertising through promotion encompasses a number of individuals acquainted with more facts regarding the product. These individuals choose to stage in a particular place where they attract a large multitude of the public and hence pass on to them more information about the product. Health personnels should ensure that there are restrictions on the information passed over to consumers (100). Consumption of tobacco depends on the rate at which a city state is developing. There exists diversity in the number of tobacco smokers and non-tobacco smokers in the developed and undeveloped cities. For instance, the number of tobacco smokers is high in developed countries due to pressure and desire of individuals to live luxurious lives. On the other hand, smokers are few in non-developed states due to the reason that most of the individuals lack the capability to purchase some of the smoking stuff. The significant reason for advertising tobacco to the public is to enhance the sale of tobacco manufactured products. Therefore, there is an increase in the number of customers to the tobacco market. A percentage rise in the number of tobacco consumers is of great danger to the environment. For one, an increase in the demand of tobacco leads to alternative ways of increasing the supply of the product to the public. In order to have an increase in supply, there has to be more tobacco plantations, which are disadvantageous to the environment of the states growing tobacco. Disadvantages of growing tobacco are that there has to be the use of pesticides on tobacco plantations. Such pesticide used by many farmers with no knowledge regarding its (pesticide) dangers, develop health problems some of which may cause death. Child labor advocates a rise in the rate at which young people become tolerant to cancer due to pesticide exposure at tender age. Growing tobacco leads to a reduction in soil fertility because tobacco is one of the plants that extract nutrients and phosphorous from the soil. Lack of enough nutrients in the soil necessitates buying of fertilizer to boost the soil, which is an expense to farmers. Summary and conclusion To sum up, advertising tobacco via media should come to a stop since it culminates the good image of the public before individuals of other city-states. Consuming tobacco in form of cigarette smoking is a way that leads to increased illnesses. For instance, smoking is the primary cause of lung cancer, which in the due course results to death. Additionally, an increase in mortality rate that negatively affects the economic status of the country, as it leads to reduction of the tax received from prominent people to develop the country. On the contrary, it is not of importance to ban adverts concerning tobacco due to various reasons. Individuals should consider the positive effects associated with such advertisings. For instance, it is through tobacco adverts that individuals gain more knowledge about the publicized product. Objectively, most of the adverts are in the company of negative effects that occur after excessive consumption of the product. Therefore, people should in a way give support to those advertising tobacco, as it is a way of bringing awareness on the subject of the dangers of consuming products manufactured from tobacco. However, it is the mandate of the government to ensure that there are restrictions to the adverts passed to the public. The prime purpose for setting such restrictions is to prohibit individuals from having a positive attitude towards using up tobacco products. Works cited Chapman, Simon.
