Since ethics is considered as general education, it covers several fields or topics such as cultural diversity, way of life and the traditions in different societies. These allow one to understand the values that are accepted in different societies. In addition, one will have knowledge on the extensive diversity of practices in different societies and this widens ones’ mind with skills and knowledge (Paul & Elder, 2006).
General studies provide a wide range of knowledge in that one is capable of understanding or acquiring much knowledge that will help in widening ones’ mind and improve the reasoning capacity of the individual.
