The article is based on the consideration that economic challenges are the primary causes of abortion attempts. The study also sought clarity on developing nations, since in one way or another; their activities affected the global economy. However, on the account of developing nations, the report established that poor contraception methods were primarily responsible for increased need for abortion. Abortion in those countries is done using rudimentary systems which in most cases results to death. As a result, high infant and child mortality rates in developing countries can be blamed by use of rudimentary systems of abortion. Their lamentation constantly said that abortifacients should note be authorized to teenagers without the consent of their parents. By merely advocating the use of the pill, FDA was deliberately encouraging more sex within teenagers. Civil rights group argued that FDA approach will instantly result to more teenage pregnancies, thus, increasing the necessity of abortion. If not controlled, more teenage pregnancies will automatically lead a higher birth rate in teenagers. With this politics constantly affecting the whole concept of abortion, then developed countries goal of achieving 1% birth rate cannot be achieved in the near future. This article was substantial in arguing how civil camps have constantly ruined the whole concept of initiating particular policies (Heyes, 2013). The FDA approach is legitimate, taking to consideration that the most important factor of abortion is economical perspective. Critique What do they have in common? Both articles have attempted to present abortion cases and how it is necessary to reduce the occurrence of abortion. The articles have appointed economic factors as the leading cause of abortion and how countries should endeavor to reduce birth rate below 1%. In the two articles, any scholar will notice the role of the authorities in championing abortion strategies especially in developed countries. Consequently, any scholar will notice the constant role of civil rights activist in altering and instigating civil campaigns against or in favor of certain abortion strategies. How are the articles different? The two articles are largely different in a plethora of factors. Primarily, the first article is based on a scholarly statistical approach in analyzing abortion, while the second article prevails on the political perception generated by use of abortion. The first article goal is to ensure that countries, globally realize some inherent importance of abortion especially to the general economy. The article has attempted to present vital information regarding the general uses of abortion and how countries can achieve the below 1% birth rate on several accounts. On the second article, the relation of abortion to general politics, based on the goal of achieving the 1% mark is heavily visited. In this case, the ambiguous interpretation of different policies; for instance, over the counter policy is heavily examined. Again, the second article has successfully identified why measures established in the first article cannot be fully applied. This article is substantial in analyzing the FDA case, with a goal to seek clarity how different abortion situations forces policy formulators to structure policies which are largely viewed to affect particular groups in the society.
