Race and Gender Race is not natural Time Wise eludes to the idea that race is not natural. He suggests that resting the claim for racial equity and treatment with the understanding of skin color and intelligence created by scientists is an unethical thing. Wise argues that morality and ethics cannot be determined solely on the basis of science. He also finds it unethical to mistreat individuals because they belong to groups discovered to be fundamentally different or less capable than others. Time Wise proposes that scientific knowledge is never complete and as people learn more about the human genome scientist will continue to discover larger groups-based differences.

“(White) privilege” notion The notion “(white) privilege” according to Wise is the advantages one gets by being white. One of the material benefits possessed by the whites is that they are favored by the employers for high level jobs. The reason is because they are believed to possess the talents that are essential in doing such jobs. The result of the view of the employers is that the whites tend to earn more income than the blacks and thus they become wealthy. The notion “(white) privilege” also has a psychological benefit as whites are considered to be more intelligent than blacks due to their genetic and biological differences.
