The modern feminist movement must solve many problems. But some problems can prevent this. What is feminism for modern women and men today? There are three waves of feminism.            The first wave of feminism was the fighting movement for equal rights between women and men, which gained momentum in the late 19th century and lasted until the mid-20th century.

The main goal of the fight for equal rights was to achieve the opportunities for women to vote (and women did not have it for a long time), as well as to ensure the right to property for married men and women.            The second wave of feminism - the 60s-80s of the 20th century - is the fight for legal and social equality of both men and women. The right for education, to work, to move away from the traditional role of a housewife is what the representatives of the second wave of feminism advocated to ensure equal access of women and men to all the social opportunities.

            The third wave of feminism - from the nineties to the present day (today) - is what is called modern feminism - the struggle not only for the final equal rights of men and women but also for the elimination of gender stereotypes between men and women, the cessation of crippling practices (e.g., female circumcision), free access for all girls and women to hygiene products (many regions still do not know what pads and tampons are), the abolition of the patriarchal system and the departure from the "traditional family," where women are disenfranchised, in some countries contractual marriages are still a tradition when the parents pick up the groom's daughter.

Women have no right to work and can stay on the street without things at any time).            The third wave of feminism also focuses on other issues: sexism and the objectification of the female body, the presence of a "glass ceiling" even in developed countries, different standards of beauty for men and women. They also do not forget about the universal problems, and they also fight with: racism, sexism, the same toxic gender stereotypes, and the imposition of certain gender roles, homophobia, social inequality between men and women, and so on.

            The intentions of the modern feminist approach are bright. However, there are problems with the feminist movement itself. We find out what is wrong with modern feminism and what problems should be addressed first to reach equal opportunities for men and women.            On account of the understanding of feminism, there is a problem of almost any feminism movement: not all its representatives can agree.

There are also many controversies and scandals among women and men: radical feminism accuses liberals of softness instead of fight and affection for the opposite sex, liberal radicals of harsh methods, hatred of all men and women who do not share their values. Some men and women involved in feminism today say that they had to face cruelty, harassment, accusations, and ridicule within the party itself, which they considered the most tolerant feminist position. What is clear: changes in the world must begin with yourself and your micro-community.

No matter if you are among women or men until you are tolerant and accuse married women of "obeying her husband," what kind of equal opportunities can there be? Solutions for other women today may be to resist men and promote feminism.            Today, feminism presupposes fight for just rights for women and men, including the right to education and employment. Some feminist women make their own choices in favor of the family: they marry men, have children, and feel comfortable in the role of housewife women.

And they often face accusations from both parents: traditionalist relatives who constantly advise on proper motherhood, etc., on the other hand - from feminist fellows, some of whom a priori consider the household an imposed feminism choice and try hard to abandon it in favor of building a career and gaining financial independence from males.
