There is enough space in liquids and therefore the particles are free to move but they attract one another. In gases there is enough free space since the particles are far apart.
As more Kinetic energy is gained by the particles, the components of matter change their state; solids change into liquids and liquids change into gases. Kinetic energy is as a result of heating the particles thus making them to move apart from one another. The Kinetic theory is based on the fact that when heated, the molecules quickly vibrate and some of it moves from the matter.
Heat is a form of energy that is being transferred from region to another. The energy transfer is as a result of thermal contact or thermal radiation and occurs at different temperatures of the systems. Nuclear reactions such as those that are responsible for the burning of the sun release heat. Insulators can also be used to trap heat for a limited time. Energy is transferred through three modes namely conduction, convection or radiation, depending on the medium through which it is being transferred. In solids like metal, the process takes place through conduction. On the contrary some solids such as wood and plastics are poor conductors of heat. In conduction thermal energy is transferred from regions of higher temperatures to those of lower temperatures just like diffusion takes place. Convection refers to the transfer of heat energy between liquids that are in motion and a solid object. It can either be forced or free convection. In radiation, there is no contact between the objects in which the heat transfer is taking place. The transfer takes place through electro-magnetic waves, and does not require a medium. Heat is measured in joules.

This is a study that seeks to explore the concept of kinetic theory of matter, the concepts of heat and temperature and how they relate to each other. In this paper, I have also explored the relationship between heat and temperature and how they differ from one another.
Heat is a form of energy which created by the motion of atom and molecules. Atoms and molecules are engaged in random motion inside all matters. In solids these motions are small and hence solids have a finite shape. On the other hand in liquids and gases these atomic and molecular motions are large and hence it is difficult to assume particular shape to liquids and gases.
Heat transfer occurs from a substance or objects that is warm to a substance or object that is cooler. Scientists measure heat energy using the ordinary unit of energy, the Joule (Sullivan & Edmondson 2008). Nasser (2009) adds that the movement of heat energy happens from a system to the other.
This essay explores the differences between heat and temperatures. The researcher of this essay aims to pay special attention to properties of a substance that determine its heat capacity. The properties include the following: quantity; viscosity; size and conductivity. This essay also analyzes sources of heat such as solar energy; earth; burning fuels; electricity.
In the latter literature presented therein, we would fundamentally look into various methods and definitions employed to exactly what heat and temperature are with regards to the kinetic theory of matter and how they particularly influence this law.
According to the theory, matter is composed of a number of small particles that are called atoms or molecules and these atoms or molecules are always in movement and their movement is multidirectional. Study is heat is related to kinetic theory of matter as heat is a process in which, thermal energy shifts from one object to the other and the movement of molecules get faster with shifting of thermal energy.
This particular energy can be measured through the temperature of that matter (whether it is in gas, liquid or solid form) or stated differently, the hotness or coldness of matter can known by measuring its temperature.
As stated by the theory, matter is made up of tiny particles called molecules or atoms that move in motion. Solids have particles that are compactly bounded to each other that can cause vibration movement rather than moving from one location to another. Kinetic theory can also be used to describe the many physical states of matter.
Later, Albert Einstein described the motion through what came to be referred to as the molecular theory of matter, also referred to as kinetic theory of matter. This postulates that all matter would be constituted of tiny particles referred to as molecules which constantly move and bounce off each other just like the billiard balls.
