Presently, society’s middle and lower class people attempt to look like upper social class individuals. Low-class individuals strive to tear down the spirits of people in the high class. These increasing trends by people to fit into society are worrying and results to many unanswered questions that this paper tries to answer.
The paper explains the reason behind society’s portrayal of some people as wealthy based on their ethnicity. It further unfolds the reason for people’s increased desire to be a part of the upper social class. In addition, the paper reflects on what unfolds when the younger generations in, the lower social class lack the advantages of their peers in the upper social classes. The paper also provides a number of ways through which people try to be part of the top class. Finally, the paper attempts to explain the reason for lowering of standards by the high classes to fit with the lower classes.
The American upper class entails the highest socioeconomic bracket of society in the U.S. The social class is mostly described as those with great power and wealth, and may equally be described as the capitalist class. People in the upper class mostly have massive influence in the political and economic institutions of the country, and the media. Several heirs of fortunes, politicians, top business executives like Chief Executive Officers, celebrities, and venture capitalists make up members of the upper class. The primary distinction of this class is the sources of their incomes. Whereas several people derive their income from salaries, upper-class people derive their incomes chiefly from capital gains and investments. A household with a net worth of one million US Dollars qualifies for identification as members of the uppermost socioeconomic demographic based on the capital market employed.

The moment the National Health System was born, all elements of health care had to be unified around a common goal of providing free, superior quality medical and health care for everyone, irrespective of their social belonging and class. Introducing private healthcare options had to create an atmosphere of competition for the purpose of better quality and efficiency of healthcare in the country.

The social stratification is a universal factor but inconsistent, it prevails in the society from generations and the strata are formed due to the belief of the people.
Social class serves as an identifier for different classes or groups of people in a community or society. There various social classes in a particular society and they are determined by several factors depending on the nature of that particular community or society.
Sociologists refer to society as having a "social structure," by which they mean that there are many different interrelated positions (Brtaux & Thompson 54). The "structure" consists of the pattern of relationships among these positions. Each position (such as father, doctor, or legislator) is related to one or more other positions (such as daughter and son, patient and nurse, constituent and lobbyist) (Brtaux & Thompson 55).
But after the Industrial Revolution, the social class has transformed into a class system which allows the people adequate flexibility to move above or below their original class. Today a difference in class is generally known as a dividing line between different kinds of behavior as well as a difference in wealth, power and esteem among the people.
