The marketing department is one of the most important departments from the standpoint of an organization because it usually deals with the inflow and outflow of funds of a company. Certain things come under the ambit of marketing management. The main perspective of this assignment is to analyze the thing accordingly and by applying regression tools on the same. The company which has been chosen for the same is Ashland Multicomm Services, which is an internet service provider with telephone cables and internet cables.

Forecasting is one of the most important things from the standpoint of a company and the standpoint of a thing as well. Forecasting is the process of making statements about events whose actual outcomes (typically) have not yet been observed. A commonplace example might be an estimation of some variable of interest at some specified future date. Prediction is a similar, but more general term. Both might refer to formal statistical methods employing time series, cross-sectional or longitudinal data, or to less formal judgmental methods.

The forecasting process which has been judged by the company is not at all perfect and it is under severe criticism because the company has not judged and measured the consequences of the project on the company’s productivity.

Several things can be taken into consideration, other than the telemarketing hours spent, which predominantly are the effects of the same on the net profit and revenue recognition of the company as a whole. The company has to consider the effects of the same in total, merely to analyze the same.

The standard Deviation of an hour spent is 227 and 1077 for a subscription.
