Extract of sample "The Autobahn as a Pinnacle of the German Driving Experience"

Brian’s guide to Germany defines the autobahn as a pinnacle of the German driving experience, perhaps the ultimate in driving altogether. This autobahn may virtually be seen as a fashion catwalk in the transport industry and many drivers across the globe dream of showcasing their pride and joy of car on going down the catwalk on it. This 19km long motorway was first established in 1913 and 1921 in southwestern Berlin. Before, the autobahn was a freeway to facilitate car racing. This autobahn erected in Berlin is one of a kind.

In addition to that, a vast amount of service areas are lined up along the stretch for a driver’s any need. Despite the current speed issues, the accident, injury and death rates on the Autobahn are remarkably low and the Autobahn carries about a third of all Germanys traffic, but injury accidents on the Autobahn account for only 6% of such accidents nationwide and less than 12% of all traffic fatalities were the result of Autobahn crashes.
