With the rise of modern technology, the interaction of human beings has also been substantially influenced.  As such, came the advent of social networking websites which pervades the very aspect of face-to-face communication. Truly, people nowadays are more prone to establishing and engaging in social relationships through the internet. The boost in the popularity of social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and many others are indicative of this phenomenon. Indeed, such websites do not only provide entertainment but also serve as quick venues to cultivate relationships among people of different races and communities.

Initially, people find them interesting because these enable them to get connected with their loved ones and circle of friends. Apart from this, they can upload photos and even videos to provide a more personal touch on their profiles. The advent of these social networking websites has brought huge impact not only to individuals but also on society at large. Schools, businesses and other establishments have also seen the potential effects of these networking websites into their respective agendas.

Mainly, the vast information that they derive triggered business industries to make use of the web to promote their own products and services and therefore gain profits. It is also worth noting that academic institutions have relied on the innovative transformation of learning with such websites serving as tools.  There are indeed positive implications that come with social networking websites.
