Education via electronic media or the internet platform is better than the classroom mode of learning because it has more features than the latter, which is more personalized and flexible. Digital learning offers a better solution to students than the classroom teaching method.  Today, learners find learning more exciting and user-friendly due to the technological advancements and innovations that have emerged in the education system. Electronic media education is flexible. Contrary to attending classes in schools or institutions, e-learning allows much flexibility for both the educator and the learner (Wanner & Palmer, 2015).

For example, take a look at the times where either of the party is sick or just out of moods to attend lessons. Learning remains effective as the learner can access the reading materials or assignments from the teacher through the use of the internet, which makes it easy to attend all classes as one does not necessarily need to move to and from school. Additionally, this mode of learning makes it easier to switch from one study to another or multiple searches on the same subject. This means that a student can access lots of information on the same topic by opening several tabs covering the same issue.

For instance, during a biology class, the learner can converse with the facilitator and other students, open a lab session video on the same topic while reading notes, which is not possible in a classroom setup where one task is suitably done at a time. Additionally, skyping allows for flexibility in learning as it is possible to conduct lessons online despite the time of the day or distance. This even makes learning more personalized and less demanding in terms of physical teaching in a classroom.

Innovations within the education sector have made learning more personalized and self-centered. This is better and friendlier to the users of social networks or rather electronic media. The internet allows platforms where teachers and learners can form learning or discussion groups. The ability to access information on nearly all subject matter by just a click on the computer or cell phone and ease of research work, e-learning benefits outcompetes classroom teaching which is not digitalized (Lahti, Hätönen & Välimäki, 2014).

Any person, student or teacher, can access knowledge or information through the internet as long as he/she is connected via either a phone or computer. Many organizations expend the internet to train employees as well without necessarily having a workshop seminar. This simply means learning can be personalized through the use of electronic media devices. In our modern world today, many people including the old and the working class, have got an opportunity to attend classes at home or working place, which makes it most favorable and suitable than the physical attendance of a class.

This initial (non-electronic) approach is limiting in that people may shy away from going to school either because of their age, perceived inferiority when ranked in an exam, which contradicts e-learning where nearly everything is personalized between you and the educator or ‘electronic device user per se." Online learning or rather internet access provides the learner with the capacity to gather all information required in the area of study and from various sources, colored pictures, and video learning.

Additionally, electronic media has made learning more interesting because students can communicate and access information from tutors, fellow learners, and scientists/researchers across the world without necessarily meeting them physically or attending class in a room/building (Simonson, Smaldino & Zvacek, 2014). Learners are also able to discuss or contribute in a forum while learning. A student can revisit his/her work severally as it is in print form. Consequently, the sound recording makes it easy to listen to a lecture clearly by rewinding.

E-Learning allows students to learn on their own time. However, technology use among youths needs to be moderated especially among teenagers so as to minimize the negative impacts of technology.
