This essay describes an article titled “L’exposition du boulevard des Capucines – les imprissionistes” written on April 29, 1874 for La Siecle, Jules Castagnary sets out to investigate the claims that a new school of painting has been born. The researcher describes that he is interested in discovering what are the aims and objectives of this new school, its distinctive features, its elements of style and its contribution to contemporary art of his day. The problem that Castagnary sets out to solve is the examination of why a new school of thought in painting faces such opposition and whether or not the painters of this school are indeed the rejects in the field of art. They are special because they portray warmth, nature and real life subjects – time distilled and moments captured forever on canvas. To conclude, the researcher sums up that these paintings allowed people to see for themselves, feel for themselves and think for themselves – they were a part of Enlightenment.

The first piece is titled “Map” and was created in 1961 with oil on canvas. The work is large against the wall, the viewer almost overwhelmed by its size. The painting is an example of the irony with which Jasper paints, his works placing a common concept deep within the recesses of his paint which lays thick on top of it.
It started in France but spread across Europe like America and their paintings comprised of bright colors and light with most of them being from the outdoor scenario. The word Impressionist was used as an insult to the painting of Claude Monet’s painting Impression, sunrise in Paris in 1874 which appeared unfinished as it looked sketchy with a patchy texture (Weinberg, 2009).
This artistic piece was drawn on 5th February 2003. The artist describes the piece of work in a highly simplified manner. The artist makes no attempts at explaining the name of the machine, STEN MK. V submachine gun and this leaves a viewer guessing whether the name is part of the creativity.
The works of impressionist painters are not only vivid and colorful but have an intensity and veracity that goes beyond merely being attractive works of art. The aim of the impressionist school of art was to reflect and capture reality. This is much the same objective of most art movements but what made the impressionists unique and revolutionary for their time was that they were the first to use a new method and different techniques to capture the fluctuating essence of the real.
The exhibition can be arranged on a Sunday for the visitors to walk in during their convenient time and on a relaxed day. This would increase the inflow of visitors. The show can be arranged in a rented hall which is feasible to the crowd, near a bus depot or a railway station.
The stylistic characteristics of the Florentine Renaissance can be summed up as idealistic and romantic with paintings of this time showing mannerist style and personal aesthetic expression. This rebirth of art in Italy was brought about by increased awareness and different interpretations of classical knowledge, and a new repertoire of subjects for art.
