Tony brought his family in surprise Alice’s family caught off-guard with the house disordered. As they were preparing to get out after great misunderstandings, police -for blowing unlicensed fireworks- arrested everyone in that house. All held up in a cell waiting to be taken to the night court judge, Tony’s mother repeatedly threw insults to Alice making her feel more unworthy of marrying her son. Tony’s father (Kirby) and his wife despised their in-laws to be for not being wealthy (Frank 1997).

Kirby acquired many properties from people to benefit himself from the monopoly given to him by the government. At some time, Kirby realized he never had friends to count on. The last option for him was socializing equally with the lower-class people who he had underestimated are good people and that he could not do without them. This was to expose the cultural myth of people socializing within their class of status and show the need and importance for unity among people of different social classes.
