After going through the different elements of the art of filmmaking, it is evident that the elements like historical contexts, themes/ narrative aspects, and stylistic/visual characteristics of the films are examinable for the comparison/ contrast section. 

Initially, before films started to be developed, there were only motion pictures that were basically in the form of carnival novelty but as time passed by the advance from just being mere motion pictures into being films that could be visualized by the respective audience and hence create entertainment to them and more so communicate to them their intended message.

The producer should establish a limited liability company to act as the production entity for the movie (Goldberg, 2012 p16). This company will shield the producers from personal liability arising from legal conflicts from the movie, like in the case of ‘I am number four’.    

Tony soprano the psychologically disturbed leader of northern New Jersey arranged crime, observes a scene of Tommy's powers together with his mother in the public enemy” in the episode where the mother of the main character perishes. Benjamin Button was born as an adult, and, as years passed by, he started growing younger. Ultimately, Benjamin has become a toddler and eventually died. The story revolves around the scenarios and events that occur due to the reverse growth of the film’s lead character Benjamin Button.

When we think about comedy we think that it is merely there to make us forget our worries, make us laugh, and prepare us for a delightful future. However, Comedy as truly said in the quote above is a serious business. It is a serious business because unlike a real-life business, comedy has only one agenda to achieve and that is to make people laugh and be merry.

Semiotics is used to describe the different signs and phenomena which is also known as descriptive semiotics. It then goes ahead to systemize the signs and phenomena into different theories and models, and this is known as theoretic semiotics and finally tries to apply the knowledge gained to find practical solutions which are known as applied semiotics.

Some examples of film noir include The Setup and the Big Sleeper and some contemporary examples are Twelve Monkeys and Seven.

Reviews from the audience declaring the major difference and improvement in the movie experience also provided further motivation for filmmakers to shift to this media. Critics of this media point out however that the 3d presentation does not make much difference in the filmgoer’s experience, especially as the media can also provide too much realism to the audience, taking away the subconscious mindset of illusion in the film.

The way in which the actors are portrayed in the first scene simply depicts that there is no need for translation to enable the film to captivate the viewers purely by auditory and visual aspects, a characteristic that makes the film more beneficial than the textbook. This is something that lacks in textbooks and is currently highly recommendable.

There are those who would still gainsay the statement above by stating that however much the film and cinema industry becomes advanced, digitized, and user-friendly. The crux of the matter herein is that there are instances wherein works of art, specifically, drawing cannot be faced out by the camera lens.

The artwork A Sunday on the Grande-Jatte created by George Seurat in 1884 is a complex and extravagant painting as for the end of the nineteenth century. However, this fact shows its relevance and impresses by its pioneering these days. Visual art has some hidden weaknesses. Since it gives the audience the liberation to see and interpret what they want, different people may come up with different conflicting perceptions and interpretations of one piece of art. For example, one person may interpret red color for love while the other may interpret it as dangerous.

“Beauty and the Beast” as a great example of the animated film telling a marvelous supernatural touching and sincere story will appear as a part of a wider cultural tradition which in turn will allow to name it also a great example of a fantasy genre due to a significant movie’s contribution on its behalf.

The age of the characters is portrayed as men in their late thirties and early forties and the economic class of these robbers Sonny, Sal and the accomplice are all first-time criminals hence indicating that this trio had been through tough economic times (Blair,1). Therefore, bank robbery proved to be the last resort where they could get money to meet their needs. 

No director has combined the formalist elements to create an impression of intangible mystery quite like Alfred Hitchcock. Music, lighting, mise-en-scene, even graphic elements, and special effects all combine to create extraordinarily atmospheric effects that merge the best of the film noir, mystery, and horror traditions.   

There are different cultures in the world, just the same way as there are different movies. The way a certain movie influences a certain culture it is not the same way it affects another culture. Certain cultures may think that action movies may instill violence on their child. Some parents argue that children will want to practice and experience what they watch in movies.

John had an intense personality and quite idiosyncratic. He, for instance, did not like the use of foul language and disrespecting a woman in any way. Unlike Yuru, Meishan does not live up to the three rules and four ethics.

While the film opens, an act of kindness, which could also be tainted with some hypocrisy is what the audience sees in the movie, The Maid, where her employer’s wife, Pilar, organizes Raquel who is the maid a birthday party since she was turning 41 years, which turns out to be a most embarrassing event of the day (The Maid 2009:n.p.).

Yes, realism has many meanings. But Williams (1977) says all forms of realism have four common formal qualities. These are secular, contemporary, social extension, and political. The first quality is secular. This means realist texts are most important to be secular. Meaning, people act because of reason and logic and not of superstition and mysticism.
