She preceded Condoleezza Rice who worked for the Bush administration. Hillary Clinton gained national attention when her husband became a candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1992. She has stood by her husband in times of distress and extramarital affairs with the most shocking revelation in the form of the Lewinsky scandal, which shook the relationship that existed between the husband and the wife (Sulfaro 2007). This happened in the year 1998 which became the subject of controversy and was taken up as a very important topic all over the world. Lewinsky was a White House intern with whom Bill Clinton confessed to have extramarital sexual activities. Hillary Clinton started the Save America’s Treasures program which she also chaired. She was the head of the White House Millennium Council as well as hosted a number of Millennium Evenings. She was instrumental at creating the initial Sculpture Garden which represented quite a large number of American art works that were taken from museums in the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden. She accepted the role that was given to her in their talks after which President Obama announced the same in a formal way as his nominee for the Secretary of the State. She was reluctant in the beginning to leave the seat that she had in the Senate but she thought of the new position as a very enticing one and saw it as a difficult and exciting adventure. When she came into power, as the Secretary of the State, she telephoned a number of prominent world leaders and told them that the US Foreign Policy would be changed as a lot of damage had already been done within the tenure of the former President George W Bush’s administration. Polls have shown that majority of the respondents believe that Hillary Clinton is a liberal while only a few thought of her as a moderate and the remaining as conservative. She has been a popular leader ever since she became the First Lady of the United States in the President Bill Clinton’s era. She is also famous within the third world nations, where America is not seen in a very optimistic way. She has remained a loyalist to the different subject areas like women, health and related quarters, and for this, she has been appreciated by people left, right and center. Even the President of the United States has openly appreciated her at different forums and discussion programs, which is a very positive thing on Hillary Clinton’s part. Quite rightly so, Hillary Clinton has been represented as a polarizing personality within the media. She has received over a dozen awards and honors during the span of her career from American as well as several other global organizations. These subjects have included health, women and children, as she has worked specifically within these quarters. She has meant what she has said, and this is one of the most important things that have come truthfully within Hillary Clinton’s personality realms (Burrell 2001). In the end, it would be sound to suggest that Hillary Clinton has been a name to reckon with. Her towering personality has suggested that she will go a long way if she remains consistent with the changing times. Her dedication and devotion to work ethics has been openly judged and appreciated by people who know her or who have worked alongside her.
