This was followed by filtering the solution resulting through various layers of cheesecloth. 6 ml of the solution was the added into 10 of the petry dishes that had the raddish seeds in it. After this, the number of seeds in each of the dishes that germinated was counted. After this, the length of each root was measured to the nearest tenth of a cm with the use of a ruler. After germination of the seed, the root length was counted as zero. The results obtained in this experiment indicated that the extract of A.

altissima significantly inhibits germination of test species. It also showed that extract of A. altissima significantly inhibit root growth.
