Therefore, in order to cope up with such changing trends and patterns, the organizational entrepreneurs are trying to devote high level of concentration over research and development in order to present varied types of inventive products and services. This might help an organization to retain its market share and image at a stable condition in the market among many other rival players. Along with this, the level of sustainability of the organization also gets enhanced to a significant extent in the market among other rival players. Moreover, as sustainability is the most essential criterion of any organization, in this age of extreme rivalry, most of the organizations desire to recruit, experienced and talented leaders or managers. This is because; these leaders or managers of the organizations act as the catalyst in developing extremely creative and inventive products or services that might satisfy the needs and requirements of the customers. Along with this, the competitive position of the organization or the entrepreneur also gets improved in the entire market thereby amplifying its brand value and equity among others. As a result, the threat of the contenders also gets reduced thereby amplifying the level of dominancy and equity in the market in long run. Thus, it might be depicted that the generation of idea to develop inventive products or services is entirely dependent over the mental capability and intelligence power of the leaders or managers. Definition of Leadership Leadership is a style or an inborn characteristic feature to influence or motivate all other followers or employees within an organization. A leader is an individual, who is extremely confident and determinant about the ways to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization in the market among other rival players. Other than this, a leader is an individual, who steps up in challenging situations so as to mitigate it in an effective way. Not only this, he is also responsible for presenting varied types of information and facts to all other employees and staffs so as to analyse their desires and wishes, prior implementing any policy or regulation (Von Stamm, 2008, pp. 389-490). Apart from this, leadership is also described as an ability to maintain a good interpersonal relationship among the employees of the organization thereby reducing the conflicts and clashes. Therefore, leadership might be described as an inherent quality that may not be taught or learned but might be enhanced through various situational changes and conditions. Hence, leadership style or leaders might be stated as one of the most essential requirements of the organizations operating in recent age, in order to tackle risky situations or challenging threats. Role of leadership in corporate organization In order to cope up with the changing needs and demands of the market, innovation is the most essential requirement. This is because; invention of varied types of products or services might prove effective for a corporate organization to enhance its dominance and reputation in the market among others. Along with this, the level of profit margin and equity of the organization might also get amplified thereby reducing the threat of substitute products. However, it might be possible, only if the organization or the corporate comprises of an enthusiastic and confident leader. This is because; presence of such type of a leader or leadership qualities might motivate and stimulate the employees or the followers of the organization to develop varied types of value-added products or services in order to cope up with the demands and needs of the customers. As a result, the total sale and revenues might get fulfilled thereby amplifying the image of the organization in the market among other rival players. Apart from this, a leader with sheer intelligence and high thinking power is also extremely essential for a corporate organization. This is because; due to the presence of such type of qualities, the leader might easily analyse the root cause of any sort of conflicting situations arising within the employees thereby enhancing unity and consistency among all. As a result, the level of interpersonal conflicts reduces thereby declining the rate of attrition in this age of aggressiveness. This is because employees are the prime assets of an organization and without which, it may not survive in the market among others. So, most of the organizational entrepreneurs or the leaders desire to retain the experienced employees within the organization so as to enhance its productivity and effectiveness in the market among other rival players. However, it might be possible, only if the inner skills and talents of the employees get enhanced due to the implementation of varied types of training programs. But, requirement or implementation of such types of training programs within the organization need to be highlighted by the leaders in front of the management. Only then, the employees or the other followers might get influenced or motivated by the actions of the leader thereby amplifying their level of performance and devotion towards the assigned work. As a result, the assigned targets or goals of the organization gets fulfilled thereby amplifying the image and reputation of the organization in the market among others. Moreover, in order to sustain in such a tough economic situation, a leader of a corporate organization need to include high level of communication and tackling capability. Only then, the leader might retain a good relationship with all his or her co-members or employees that may prove effective in analysing their inner desires and motives regarding any decision or policy implementation. As a result of such type of relationship, a leader might easily inspire or stimulate the employees or the followers to obey his or her orders in an effective way. Apart from this, high evaluating power also helps a leader to analyse the changing trends of the market, in which the organization operates. By doing so, the leader might guide the followers or employees to present such type of materials or products that may surely fascinate the customers of recent age. As a result, the profit margin and reputation of the organization might get enhanced to a significant extent among many other rival players. Hence it might depicted, that leaders act as the cornerstone to drive an organization successfully in this age of competitiveness, among others. So, leaders are the stimulating forces that inspire the employees to develop inventive products and services to fascinate large array of customers. Discussion Forms of corporate leadership using two or three FTSE 100 companies In this age of competitiveness, leaders act as the backbone of any corporate organization. This is because they are the only person who is responsible for decision and policy implementation. So they need to be extremely determinant and confident in nature. Such types of qualities are present within the authoritarian leaders. These leaders comprise of high controlling and tackling power to motivate and inspire the employees or followers towards the final objective of the organization and in such a leadership style, as the leader is the final decision-making authority, so the followers or employees has to obey his or her orders effectively. Such type of scenario is observed within the organization of Kingfisher Airlines. In this corporate organization, Mr Vijay Mallya is the only decision maker and so all other staffs of the group are bound to follow his decisions and policies. In order to retain the position and image of the organization in the market among many other rival players, he took an excellent decision (Ulrich, 1997, pp. 478-590). He decided to lower the prices of the airlines of Kingfisher in the market so as to attract more and more customers. This tactic proved effective for the organization thereby amplifying its profit margin and dominancy in the market among other rival players. Other than this, such an idea also amplified the popularity and position of the organization of Kingfisher in this segment thereby amplifying its market share and fame. Apart from this, the high judgemental power of Mr. Mallya to analyse the recent trends and demands of the customers also proved extremely effective for the organization of Kingfishers and so to tackle such changing customer demands and wants, Mr. Mallya introduced the facility of presenting, ‘breakfasts’. This tactic also proved quite effective for the organization of Kingfisher thereby amplifying its level of loyalty and reliability in the market among other rival players. Not only this implementation of the strategy of breakfasts, attracted a wide range of customers towards this brand that amplified its supremacy in this aggressive market. And as a result its level of sustainability and position in the market enhanced as compared to many other rival players thereby reducing the threat of new entrants (Tidd & Bessant, 2005, pp. 341-389). Therefore, it might be clearly depicted that the leadership style of Vijay Mallya proved extremely effective for the corporate organization of Kingfisher in enhancing its profitability and position due to the implementation of various tactful ideas and decisions. Thus, such judgemental attitudes of Mr Mallya helped the organization to sustain and maintain its stability in this challenging market situation. Other than this, the leadership style of Mr. Jack Cohen of Tesco Plc is also quite remarkable and praise-worthy. He always believed in participative or democratic style that includes the ability to motivate the employees or followers of the organization to offer high level of devotion towards their assigned duties (Stacey, 2012, pp. 156-178). By doing so, the level of performance of the employees also gets enhanced to a significant extent thereby amplifying the productivity of the corporate organization of Tesco Plc as well. Apart from this, in order to retain the portfolio of the organization of Tesco Plc in this challenging situation, highly confident attitude is extremely essential. So, he decided to offer, high quality of products at lowest price in order to fascinate large array of customers towards this brand among others. Although other members seemed it as a risky step, still Mr. Jack Cohen remained determined to his decision. It is mainly due to his buoyant and hopeful nature that soon proved effective for the organization of Tesco Plc in this aggressive market among others. Implementation of such a strategy helped in enhancing the profit margin and customer base thereby amplifying its productivity and efficiency in the market (Porter, 1986, pp. 416-428). It also enhanced the brand image and equity of the organization of Tesco Plc in the market among other rival players such as ASDA, Sainsbury and many others. Other than this, the supporting and scheduling nature of Jack Cohen also proved extremely effective for the corporate organization of Tesco Plc. He encouraged the employees or the follower to develop the products or services, keeping in mind the needs and demands of their target customers. Just as the customers in this recent era, mainly desire to attain environment friendly products or services (McKimm & Philips, 2009, pp. 56-89). So Tesco Plc tried to offer, environment friendly products. This strategy of Jack Cohen acted as a boon for the organization of Tesco Plc thereby amplifying its range of customers and profit margin as well. Along with this, it also enhanced the brand image and position of the organization of Tesco Plc in the market among others. Thus, the technique to offer environment friendly products helped in enhancing the loyalty of the customers thereby amplifying the retention ratio as well to a certain extent. As a result, the organization became able to fulfil the needs and demands of the customers thereby reducing the level of switch over costs in the market among others. It might be stated that the leadership skill of Jack Cohen helped the organization of Tesco Plc to enhance its prosperity and demand in the market for future ages. Hence, the leadership style of Jack Cohen enhanced its dominancy thereby reducing the risks of substitutes (Isaksen & Tiddy, 2006, pp. 121-143). Apart from this, in order to cope up with the changing situational demands and wants the managing director and CEO of Vodafone Essar, Mr. Marten Pieters decided to implement mobile internet services. This strategy proved extremely effective for the organization of Vodafone Essar in the market among other rival contenders. It not only attracted a wide range of customers towards this brand but also amplified the profit margin and equity in the market. Along with this, due to the high analysing power, Mr. Marten Pieters introduced varied types of effective plans (with lowest call rates) so as to retain the existing customers for longer period of time in the market among other rival players. Such a strategy also helped in reducing the switch over costs of the customers thereby amplifying the market share in the segment among other rival players. Thus, from the above mentioned points, it might be clearly specified that Marten Pieters reveals situational leadership style that changes as per the situational demands (Holloway, 2001, pp. 45-51). Other than this, after evaluating and analysing the current demands and wishes of the customers, Marten Pieters realised the importance of 3G and so he decided to introduce it. This strategy acted positively over the growth and market value of the organization of Vodafone Essar significantly. Thus, it might be depicted that the thinking and judgemental power of Marten Pieters helped the organization in amplifying its range of customer base and position in the global market among others. Hence, the shrewdness of Marten Pieters proved extremely essential for the organization thereby amplifying its reputation and distinctiveness within the minds of the customers (Davenport, 2005, pp. 245-253). Analysis In order to compete in this challenging and competitive situation, leader or manager acts as the guiding force of an organization, irrespective of size. This is because; he is responsible for analysing or judging any sort of requirements or situational challenges (Culp, 2002, pp. 41-64). Therefore, in order to create a sustainable position and brand image in the market, highly determined nature and buoyant attitude is extremely essential. This is because; it helps an individual to mitigate the threats of the situation (economic downturn) in an effective way as compared others. Along with this, presence of such qualities also helps in encouraging the inner skills and talents of the employees thereby amplifying the performance and productivity of an SME. Apart from this, high thinking power also helped in developing varied types of inventive ideas resulting in introduction of value-added products and services. As a result, the changing needs and demands of the customers get fulfilled thereby enhancing its market value and revenues to a significant extent. Other than this, the leaders or the managers of the SME in recent age might also include a participative nature. This might help the leader to maintain a good relationship with all other employees thereby reducing interpersonal conflicts. As a result, the level of inner morale and confidence of the employees might also get enhanced resulting in amplification of the retention ratio. And the rate of attrition might also get reduced certainly, which is the most essential requirement of sustainability of an SME (Beatty& Schneier, 1997, pp. 457-489). Apart from this, a leader of SME might also comprise of high controlling and tackling power. So that he or she might inspire the employees in such a way that they may offer high level dedication or commitment towards the assigned duties. Hence, from the above mentioned points, it might be clearly stated that, an intelligent and optimistic leader is the most essential requirement. Findings In this age of competitiveness, leadership skills are extremely essential. This is because; these skills act as the backbone for enhancing the brand image and popularity of the organization in the market among others (Beck, 2003, pp. 416-429). Leadership tactics and skills might also improve the productivity and profitability of the organization in an effective way thereby amplifying its prosperity. A leader or a manager might help in motivating or inspiring the employees towards their assigned duties so that their performance might get enhanced. As a result, varied types of inventive products or services might get introduced that might satisfy the needs and desires of the customers in an effective way. Only then the rate of switchover costs of the customers might get reduced thereby amplifying the retention rate to a significant extent (Adair, 2010, pp. 348-356). Therefore, due to these above mentioned points, leadership skills and style is extremely essential for any organization. Conclusion Conclusively, it might be stated that leaders or managers are entirely responsible for innovation or development of varied types of products or services. This is because they offer the idea to develop the inventive products or services that might satisfy the desires of the customers in recent age. Therefore, without the presence of an intelligent and tactful leader, an organization may not prosper in the global market among others. As well as the profit margin and production of the organization might also get declined as compared to others in the global market. Therefore, in order to maintain a profitable situation in recent and future era, a leader is the most essential constraint. References Adair, J. (2010).
