It is surprising how people are able to transact over the internet around the globe. E-commerce is thus a very interesting to understand so as to be able to comprehend the working of the internet market. On the other hand, supply chain management is the process by which finished products are delivered to the customers.

Therefore, my main research question is to explore how e-commerce impacts the supply chain management in an organization.The most important advance in e-commerce with regards to SCM is the increasing use of electronic marketplaces that enhance many suppliers and thousands of customers. However, the significance of the marketplace is to have numerous suppliers competing over prices. Therefore, the integration of e-commerce, value chain analysis and supply chain management automate the purchasing and selling of goods and services by an organization.

Therefore, more research questions come in mind 1) what are the impacts of e-commerce in an organization, 2) what are the beneficial opportunities for application of e-commerce in a business etc. These questions fascinate me and that is why I am so interested in researching on the same.Annotation Bidgoli.
