An investment scheme to finance boot camps Introduction Many under-privileged children in the Czech Republic are leaving school and engaging in crime-related activities. On the other hand, some are indulging themselves in drug abuse and other activities that affect their health negatively. This has a major impact on their growth and development. Despite the government intervention to improve the level of education in the country, illiteracy levels which are associated with poverty are rising each year. In order to address this problem, we intend to create an investment scheme that will finance boot camps in this country. This is to ensure that children attention is arrested before they are swayed by peer pressure. Literature Review Behavioral finance is a new field that tries to combine both the behavioral and cognitive physiology in explaining the reasons why people make financial decisions that are irrational. The financial decisions being made by various institutions mandated with protecting the interests of the vulnerable children are failing to capture the real issues that need to be addressed in order to improve the living standards of the children. Exposing the children to some environment is playing a significant role in diverting them towards the education. As a result, they end up not helping their parents once they grow up (Maisel 2014). Therefore, it is critical to understand the importance of behavioral finance especially while making financial decisions that will affect other people. Investor behavior keeps on deviating from logic and reason. The behavior is mainly affected by emotional processes, mental mistakes, and individual personality. These make it very hard to make decisions. Therefore, investment is not a matter of analyzing numbers. Instead, a large part of investment is embedded on the individual behavior. There are many types of behavioral biasness while investing. For instance, cognitive bias can be seen as a rule of thumb which can lead to a systematic deviation from the correct judgment. Some of the common behavioral biasness that can affect the investors’ decisions includes representativeness, worry, disposition effect, familiarity bias, anchoring, and self-attribution biasness (Maisel 2014). In economics, financial intermediation is a process that involves borrowing money and lending it to other parties that are in dire need for financial support. Children act as an important investment for any government or society. Therefore, in this case, the money from the investors will be used to finance different activities being undertaken in the boot camps. This will help the children to become more disciplined and focused towards important processes that enable them to grow and develop into important persons in the society (Maisel 2014). Aims General aim: To create an investment scheme to finance boot camps for under-privileged children in the Czech Republic. Specific aim: To define the concept of educational boot camps Different countries have established boot camps to reform juveniles. These are children that have misbehaved in the society or have gone of control, an aspect that has made it hard for their parents to regulate them. However, in this case, the educational boot camps will specifically serve the needs of the children who were not able to get access to high quality education due to poverty. These boot camps teach the children the importance of discipline, obedience, remaining focused towards education despite the harsh economic conditions. This support is critical in enabling the children To create a model of educational boot camp for less privileged young people Each boot camp has a specific goal to achieve. Therefore, the model used to draft the activities to be undertaken should be compatible with the goals set. Therefore, its critical to draft an educational model that will meet the overall needs of the boot camp. To identify potential sources of funding Boot camps require a lot of money to sustain. In order to maintain this camp, a regular source of funding should be identified. This is to ensure that once the activities are started, they will not be halted due to financial difficulties. To create a plan for attracting potential sponsors Investors like to put their money in activities that will benefit the targeted people. In many cases, the management of various schemes embezzles funds by sponsors through salaries and other unrelated activities, an aspect that makes it hard for the noble idea to be made a reality. Therefore, in order to attract investors, a detailed plan on how the money will be spent will be drafted. This is to enhance their confidence that their money will be well spent with no single coin being diverted to other activities. Methodology Research Philosophy Interpretive is an approach that relies heavily on naturalistic methods such as interviewing and observation. This method is critical in ensuring that there is adequate dialogue between the researchers and the interviewee, an aspect that enables them to construct a well-supported conclusion with a meaningful reality. In this case, the approach is significant in gaining in-depth understanding of the activities undertaken by boot camps and how they can improve the lives of the young people in Czech Republic. Research Approach In order to gain first hand information of the benefits of boot camp, the research will involve inductive approach which will rely heavily on observation. This will be significant in understanding the attitude of the young people towards the program. Research Strategy The research strategy will involve conducting a survey to determine the level of satisfaction among the young people who has participated in boot camps. In addition, the survey will involve parents of the children who were involved in the program. This will be critical in understanding different areas that need to be improved. The primary sources of information will be instructors who will be interviewed to identify areas that need to improve in order to foster investor confidence. In addition, questionnaires will be sent to those who will not be available for interviews. In order to understand the issue under study from different dimensions, secondary sources will be used. Some of these include books, newspaper, journals, etc. These will be significant in complementing the primary information collected. Contingency Plan In case of a failure to reach the primary sources, modern technology such as emails, telephone calls, and use of social media to reach the young people who are beneficiaries of the boot camps will be used. This will be significant in ensuring that the study does not lag behind. References Maisel, E. 2014. Life purpose boot camp: The 8-week breakthrough plan for creating a meaningful life.
