Self Evaluation Self Evaluation Introduction The importance of self-confidence is undisputed in human life. Nevertheless, this attribute brings loneliness in the life of those who practice it (Roman, 2011), because, it motivates people to build their own way in life through independent thinking. This important facet of human personality makes him royal in comparison to other creatures. At the same time, some of the humans tend to govern others through controlling their thoughts, thus attempting to enslave them eventually (Koriat, 2012). This practice is ancient in nature, but transformed into a psychological instead of physical one with the passage of time. On the other hand, through providing handsome compensation plans modern organizations are trapping youngsters into a fallacy of job therefore, turning their talents into increasing profitability for their stakeholders. However, it is relieving to note, that job turnover is increasing throughout the world because of organizations’ growing tendency to commit psychological contract breach, which is actively contributing towards increasing entrepreneurial expeditions around the world (Jafri, 2011). This paper will be designed in such a way that it will assist me in attaining my objectives in life, through integrating knowledge of various concepts such as thinking practitioner, action planning and skill analysis. I consider myself as a creative individual, who can artistically perform business activity in any part of the world. However, my financial management skills are weak, but I am confidently attempting to overcome my professional deficiency in finance. I also believe in my teachers’ ability to help me during my struggle to become a competent financial analyst in the future. First, this document will focus on explaining thinking practitioner. This type of individual analyzes his or her each professional and personal action, in the light of successfulness. Along with this, he or she keeps on evaluating him or herself in order, to indentify personal strengths and weaknesses (Smith, 2011). Remember, the competitive advantage of a person lies with his or her strength, because it is simple to achieve excellence in the field, in which an individual is interested. However, in other areas an individual may have to work very hard, but may not be able to develop expertise. At the same time, it is important to seek out others’ opinion, but we do not have to impose it on ourselves because, people will always deem something impossible, which they cannot achieve (Vries, et al, 2006). On the other hand, it is imperative to consider everything possible and achievable until circumstances prove it otherwise. Another facet of effective success is developing range of abilities, which can lead to a competitive advantage. It should also be kept under consideration, that these skills should be based on one or two definitive abilities, so that an individual do not have to switch skills during the process of adaptability from one industry to another. However, the most important skill needed for an entrepreneur is self-leadership. Because entrepreneur’s prime responsibility remains to create new business, which cannot be fulfilled without the use of effective leadership. As, I am looking forward to develop an event management firm therefore, it is imperative for me to develop abilities in order to, flourish in the challenging industry of event management in Indonesia. However, I am in Australia studying management sciences. Therefore, it is imperative for me to understand the cultural implications of event management in Indonesia. As Indonesia is a country with high level of collectivism. Due to this reason, I must need to design events characterized with group activity. People in Indonesia also attend social events with their families, so as an event manager it is my duty to keep events sober and decent, in order to avoid any inconvenience on ethical grounds. On the other hand, I am planning to get a language training to develop my Indonesian, which became little rusty over the years. This training will help me in communicating with Indonesians that I consider the most important facet of business activity because, every commercial undertaking begins with mere communication initially. At the same time, I need to study the current market situation of Indonesian event management to develop a detailed financial, market and technical feasibilities in order to assess the industry in terms of potential success. However, it is logical that I cannot understand the condition of Indonesian economics while remaining in Australia, based on this fact I am going to Indonesia within next six months. During this short trip, I will gather business intelligence about prevailing competitive environment. So that I can develop my product and service offering in order to fulfill unmet psychological needs of the customers in Indonesia. Additionally, I have to appreciate the cultural differences between Australia and Indonesia, because, the people of former nation follow business ethics and meet their contractual responsibility. On the other side, citizens of latter country tend to commit contract breach. In the light of this finding, I should develop a strong legal foundation of my Indonesian business. However, I admit my lack of knowledge about the local condition of Indonesian market. Therefore, I have to take up some job in Australian event management industry to develop sufficient experience, which is a prerequisite for the initiation of entrepreneurial venture. Conclusion This paper critically viewed my ability to become a successful businessperson in the near future. During the process, it identified leadership and confidence as the most important skills in order to develop my own business in Indonesia. On the other hand, my lack of information about the local market condition in Indonesia, because of my prolonged stay in Australia. Therefore, I should do a job in Australian market for the accumulation of necessary experience. At the same time, difference between the cultural perspectives in Australia and Indonesia will influence my business profoundly. Therefore, I need to mold my professional practices according to the culture of Indonesia, which is plagued with collectivism. Because of this reason, social events are attended by families, which will compel me to design events decently and appropriately, however, to attain the goal of cultural adaptability. I ought to hire locals from the Indonesia, who will have an appropriate level of Indonesian cultural understanding. Nevertheless, I believe myself to be fully capable of doing business in Indonesia because of my excellent training in Australia. But, I do not have sufficient exposure to the practical world of event management. Therefore, I will take up a job in Australian event management industry to develop an experience. This decision will also help me in evaluating myself as an event manager. Therefore, in the light of this experience, I can decide to adopt this field as my full time profession. As my Indonesian language got little rusty, due to my prolong stay in Australia. Therefore, I need to train myself in perfecting my linguistic skills in order to, communicate effectively with Indonesian locals. References Jafri, H. (2011).
