The online classrooms are in with roaring success. Though there is the old school of thought that still believes that student enrichment and enlightenment is possible only through face to a face learning experience, investigations have a different story to tell. It has been observed that online education makes education easier, flexible and resourceful. How far the 21st century classrooms are contributing to student enlightenment is a test of time and also a matter of much debate, but it cannot be denied that equipped with refined technology they have great potential to do so.

The education system with the teaching-learning process needs updating with time. A mere knowledge of computers is not enough but teachers must be thorough with an application of digital technology in their teaching. This is to ensure that the present day students can relate to and be drawn to it. Teachers have to rethink over a paradigm shift in teaching strategy in order to meet the expectations of the new age students. It has been widely observed that each generation responds to education differently, based on a number of factors both contextual and emotional.

The educational process must cater to these aspects of the students. And as institutional education begins from the classroom, therefore, the classroom has to be made most effective in imparting an enriching and holistic teaching-learning experience. In the age of globalization and technological explosion, with the popularity of online study centers and virtual classrooms, a new concept of classroom teaching has emerged that is based on interaction and collaboration between teacher and students.

There are community networks among students, students, and teachers around the globe, which has enabled the teaching learning process in being highly resourceful and informative.
