The observed instruction is an immensely crucial tool in establishing rules during the learning experience. Time factor is vital in the whole process. Furthermore, observation instruction ensures that the student moderates the learning experience at each step. The level of student engagement is involving because the observer ensures that students take an active part in the process by asking questions and asking the students to make guesses. In addition, the observer makes the process be enjoyable by relating with the students in a personal and informal way to ensure that the students are comfortable.

The ground rules should ensure that the student show each other regard within the groups and among the groups. The ground rules should ensure that every student gets an opportunity to air their views. The ground rules should aim at avoiding conflicts. Finally, the ground rules should promote teamwork (University of Minnesota, 2012). Question 3A: Connection to other Teaching Practices Teacher direct instruction is less interactive as compared to observed instruction. Direct instruction is where the teacher reads to the students the procedures.

He then leaves them to undertake tasks while adhering to the rules and procedures. On the other hand, observed instruction is where the teacher takes the students through the rules and procedures and then stays with the students to establish how effectively they apply the rules and procedures. Observed instructions allow for the correction of mistakes while direct instructions waits for the accomplishment of the task. In essence, indirect instruction the teacher might only be able to see the symptoms but have no idea regarding the source of the problem.

The teacher should take all the necessary caution when handling these issues. Question 4A: Evaluation Observed instruction requires that the teacher prepares the instructions in a chronological manner to ensure that the students understand the processes. The lesson plan ensures that the teacher is able to relate the learning objectives. The teacher is also able to derive his or her objectives. The teacher demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills by asking questions to the students and interacting with the students in a personal level.

The teacher uses shapes and colors for different roles to ensure that the students do not get confused. I employed deductive thinking. Based on what has been learnt in class, these approaches have proven to create effective learning environments for student.
