Mobile Workshops: Name: Date: Mobile Workshops Mobile workshops are common structures which are used in different companies and mainly construction companies and the army. The mobile workshops are mainly located in operation areas which are far away from the social facilities or the army which is independent in all levels. A mobile workshop varies from one specialization to the other and it solely depends on the function that it is going to undertake. For instance, in a construction site, it’s possible to find the mobile workshops for the mechanics, and related assortment since it’s vital for the machines and other equipments which are in operation (Benedik, 2005). The army is the most industrious sector in the world, taking into account that all units are merged into one whole body of the army. Among the units, they are those that are involved in communication, maintenance of the structures, kitchen and hospitality and medicine and health practices among others. All these units are found in the army and whenever, there is a war, all of them are involved hence becoming paramount and crucial in the long run. When the army is fighting in the fields, all the units gather their respective areas such as the, communication workshop, medical workshop or simply the mobile hospital, construction workshop, transport workshop among others. The paper seeks to explain the mobile workshops and how they are used in army and their effectiveness in enhancing efficiency in the long run (Benedik, 2005). As posited above the mobile workshops have many tasks to be performed all which are aimed at ensuring the activities in the battle field or excursions are effective. The workshops can be containers of the army trucks or raised tents which serve different workshop functions. For instance there are maintenance workshops which are designed to ensure that maintenance of the guns, vehicles, tires and other equipments is taking place. The army missions except cases of military base usually need to secure places where they can carry out repairs as well as maintain the military equipments. The solution of the activities is an army container or the conversion workshop which may facilitate servicing of the wheels, machinery and the belts which are associated. The unit can easily be moved with the rest of the convoy or even transport it indepdently to the location which is designated. Upon request, it’s possible to deliver the workshop including the ballistic modifications and also secure the delivery which includes military vehicles such as the Tatra. In a battle field, the maintenance workshop is slightly behind the battle field in such a way that they can be in a position to repair the guns and other ammunition and also give it back to the fighters. The mobile workshop is movable in many cases and it moves in response to the combat, it must ensure that the soldiers are supplied with the ammunitions as demanded in pursuit of winning the battle. Therefore, it’s paramount for the workshop to be strategic and efficient (Johnson & Cecchine 2004). The other mobile workshop or else a station are the medical workshops which help in treating the wounded and at the same time dressing their wounds and removing them from the battle field. The medical specialists who ensure that the soldier’s health is good for fighting and therefore it’s a crucial unit of the army man this workshop. It is always strategically located to ensure that the soldiers who are injured are treated as fast as possible. There are always soldiers who are charged with the responsibility of taking the wounded and later taking them to the medical workshop where they are treated. It’s paramount to note that all those who are in the workshop are specialized such as doctors, nurses and other relevant medical practitioners. Moreover, the medical workshop has a major workshop where all the injured are taken care of and it is usually a tent. Metal containers may be used in other workshops but this unit is sensitive to temperature and that’s why it has to be a tent. Moreover, the drugs are kept in the medical unit and therefore it’s very important to ensure the workshop is conducive and with right temperatures. Mostly patients who are wounded are supposed to stay areas with controlled environment and therefore, the tents are the best case for the medical workshop. Moreover, the drugs are stored in the workshop, hence it’s crucial to store them in a cool place where such they will not be destroyed or get spoilt (Johnson & Cecchine 2004). Moreover, there are some workshops which are readily designed as workshops for medical practitioners and they are fitted with cabinets with standard temperature to store medicine and other medical chemicals which are necessary in the battle field. With the advanced units it’s possible to treat the wounded soldiers and later send them back to the battle field again hence making it suitable for them to fight in the right way. The medical workshop is among the most important, though in battle field everything is important. Some medical units are very sophisticated in such a way that an individual can be operated in the workshop since they have all the requirements of a hospital setting. Such workshops are designed for the purpose of interior war where moving out to the base is difficult and the patient may die in the process of transportation. Therefore, the army had to formulate such workshop for the purpose of saving the lives which were lost in the past for the sake of logistics (Johnson & Cecchine 2004). The other most important unit in the army is the kitchen and hospitality workshops which work to ensure the army has sufficient food and water to drink. The workshop is made up specialized cooks and caterers who ensure the food served to the army is enough and sufficient. They are mainly found in the base though at times they are transported to the battle field to supply food and water to the infantry group which is doing the actual fighting. The kitchen works hand in hand with the other units such as logistics which ensure the food is supplied at the respective quantities. The workshops usually hold special cookers which are installed in the workshop truck where food can cook when the vehicle is still in motion. These workshops have proved to be efficient in battle field since they supply the food just like any other situation when there is no war. Some of the equipments that are likely to be found in the workshop kitchen are air filter cleaning trolley, automatic oil waster dispensers, the battery charger tester and the battery charge station. All these equipments are aimed at ensuring the kitchen runs effective and ultimately achieve the set goals through the set standards (Peltz, 2003). Communication workshop is also another unit which helps the army to communicate effectively during combat. The soldiers who hold the workshops are trained in communication skills of the battle fields and at the same time they are qualified engineers in telecommunications in such a way they can repair the gadgets whenever they are spoilt Schirmer, P. (2008). Mostly the communication workshop is directly linked with the commanders of the army who give instructions through the radio calls to the captains who are reading the strike in the battle field (Schirmer, P. (2008). The radio calls which are used are important in the sense that they enhance effective communication whenever is needed. Communication during combat determines whether the army will win ort it will not win. The ground men receive wise instruction from the commanders and generals of the war and therefore, if communication is not effective it means that the battle might not be effective in the long run. Moreover, the captains usually give commands to the strike men using the radio calls and therefore, proving the importance behind the gadgets (Schirmer, 2008). Workshops of the communication radio calls are mainly positioned at the base, though at times the technicians may be allowed to go in the field to check on those that may be obsolete. Today communication has been alleviated and one may find advanced satellite communication whereby the soldiers receive information using simple GPS gadgets which are placed in their ears. Such gadgets are more sophisticated to carry and use considering they are not bulky and one cannot be easily noticed to have the gadget. However, the workshop that deals with the previous radio calls are the same ones which deal with the GPS gadgets and maintenance and repair relies on the team (Schirmer, 2008). Oil and fuel workshop is another vital unit of the army that enhances the smooth flow of events in the battle field and army base. The main responsibility of the workshop is to ensure all the vehicles and jets are fuelled and checked accordingly. The specialists involved have wide knowledge in transport and fuel consumption and they advise the drivers and respective pilots on the basics of the fuel. Moreover, the workshop men may also go to the field to refill the tanks which are in the battle field hence becoming a crucial part of the operation. Most Oil workshop men are also drivers and tank operators since the tasks are related hence making the entire activity effective and efficient in the long run (Peltz, 2003). Conclusion In conclusion, it’s evident that the army workshops are related and whatever each unit is doing turns out to be contributing to the effectiveness of the general army. For instance, the kitchen ensures the army are feeding appropriately, the hospital workshop ensures the army men and women who are injured will be treated effectively and go back to the war. The Maintenance workshop ensures the guns and other machines are maintained and repaired to ensure effectiveness in the long run. The collaboration of all the units leads to a creation of an independent army which carries out the duties and commands with ease and dexterity. Such workshop varies in importance, but in battle field, they are all equal. References Benedik, L. (2005, June 22). Resourcing an army at war (Workshop Report). Armed Forces Comptroller , 2, 12.
