Summary

Sometimes it is quite difficult to distinguish between energy and power. In fact, it is quite true that many people do not even understand the difference between the two. To begin with, science defines energy as a property of matter, which people can convert into radiation, work or heat…

Energy Needs in Mexico

In other words, energy is the capability of doing work, spawning heat, and discharging luminosity or emission. On the other hand, power is the energy spent over a given period, say, per unit time. The two are interrelated and one cannot do minus the other. So far, there are over six elementary sources of energy, which include nuclear, thermal and electromagnetic energy. Other forms of energy include electricity, mechanical and chemical energies. Different countries use different forms of energy or a combination of many forms of energy. In Mexico, the government of Mexico struggles to meet the energy needs of the country by using a combination of different forms of energy. Notably, coal and fossil fuels are the dominant sources of energy in Mexico. Perhaps due to their abundance within and without Mexico, fossil fuels are the most common source of energy not only in Mexico, but also in other countries. However, with the warning of fossil fuels getting scarce and their adverse effects of combustion, various countries just like Mexico are busy adopting new forms of energy (Buen & Isabel, 2006, pp. 1-3). The Mexican constitution gives the state the mandate to generate, transmit, and distribute different forms of energy to the citizenry. ...

Renewable Energy
Renewable energy is good because it is non-polluting. In addition, of course as the name tells us it is renewable and does not use resources that can never be replaced. 2But there are other advantages to using renewable sources of energy. The benefits of renewable energy extend to stimulating the economy and creating job opportunities. The money that is invested in renewable energy is typically spent on materials and staff that build and maintain equipment instead of importing energy. The money spent on renewable energy stays in the United States for the most part, often within the same state…

Energy needs in Australia
People light and heat their houses using energy. People also cook their meals using fuel. The cars, planes, or trains that people use to get to their respective workplaces require energy. Therefore, in essence, energy forms an integral part of our lives. It is the main driver of a country’s economy. Over the years, fossil fuels have been widely used. Perhaps the oldest form of fuel used is wood. During the industrial revolution, coal was used in industries, and in steam ships. Oil and gas have probably been the most depended on forms of energy sources in the world today. Most economies are…

Use of fossil fuel to generate electricity is the largest contributor of carbon emission (Shorrock & Dunster, 2008 p.134). In property industries across the United Kingdom, emissions of carbon are due to different household chores such as, lighting, cooling, heating homes during winter and use of machines especially those that could be powered by electricity. In industries, carbon could be emitted through activities such as mining, manufacturing and construction. For example, the chemical industries, food industries, paper and mineral production, petroleum refining and primary metal…

Proven Alternative Energy Sources Several kinds of renewable and clean sources of energy such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, biomass energy are now available. Each alternative source has its own characteristic importance depending upon geographical possibilities for its production. It will be most appropriate to delve deeper into each one of these sources. Wind Energy Wind energy is available mostly at the coastal regions where wind velocity is higher. Kinetic energy of the wind is tapped using wind turbines and converted into mechanical or electrical energy. Mechanical energy can be used…

Alternative Energy
The alternative energy source should enable humans to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The energy sources should be capable of meeting the energy needs of the current society without compromising the needs of the future generations. Additionally, the sources should be cheaper than the existing sources to reduce the cost of production that industries have to undergo. This paper focuses on identifying potential alternative energy sources, which can be used to substitute fossil fuels in the future. Currently, there are quite a number of energy sources. However, humans have not maximized their…

This report stresses that geothermal power is one of the safest forms of energy production expeditions. The energy requirements of all the countries can be easily fulfilled if geothermal energy units are incorporated. World would eventually progress rapidly and swiftly when energy shortfalls are eradicated. The machinery, equipment and team required for the plantation purpose of geothermal powers requires accuracy and precision. The costs of geothermal energy production are relatively higher than other forms of the energy producing models but it ensures long lasting success. The major…
Alternative Energy
Its biggest advantage is that it is virtually maintenance free and absolutely reliable, because of the absence of moving parts; it is designed for ease of assembly, use and maintenance. Its yet another significant benefit is that, it offers an option for nations to rid themselves of avoidable dependence on oil for fulfilling their gross energy needs. It is a nascent technology possessing the long term potential to create additional jobs for strengthening of economies. It does not generate hazardous waste or cause atmospheric pollution by release of gases like carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide,…
