The study of Weber (2009) aims to highlight the characteristics of international politics, especially in relation to the international relation theory. The issue under discussion, i.e. the international relations between the west and the Middle East as influenced by 9/11, is considered as being part of the above study’s theme. At this point, the use of the study of Weber (2009) can be justified. However, the content of the above study should be also examined, aiming to show that the information provided can be valuable for exploring the issue under discussion. The study of Weber (2009) presents a wide range of theoretical models that can be used for explaining the forms of international relations worldwide; reference is made for example to the concepts/ theories of realism, idealism and neo-Marxism and their role and effects in international relations. These theories could be also used in order to explain the status and the form of international relations between the west and the Middle East as a consequence of the 9/11. In other words, the study of Weber (2009) can provide the theoretical framework on which the analysis of the issue under discussion – as explained above – will be based. ...
