This is because substance use acts as a driving force in giving adolescent morale in committing sexual offenses. Therefore, families with no history of substance use contribute to low recidivism rates among juvenile sex offenders. Social skills and inter personality, behavior can also be termed a family associated factor that contributes to low recidivism rates among juvenile sex offenders. Additionally, the provision of sex education to adolescents can also be considered a factor that contributes to a reduction in recidivism rates among juveniles.

The paper will also look at the population of adolescents based on reviews of various articles. For example, findings suggest that the monitoring and registration of any juvenile who commits sexual offenses are likely to miss more than ninety percent of cohort members who commit adult sex crimes. Moreover, the use of family-based approaches to treat traumatized youth will also be looked at in the paper. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) will be emphasized among other approaches such as Functional Family Therapy (FFT).

PSTD can be treated by the use of an evidence-based practice known as Prolonged Exposure while Functional Family Therapy involves the use of phrases such as generalization, motivation, and engagement among others.Recidivism among juvenile sex refers to the process by which young children repeat undesirable sexual behaviors. These unwanted behaviors are normally repeated after juveniles have experienced negative consequences or have been treated to stop such behaviors. In the process of trying to understand family factors associated with low recidivism in juvenile, sex, it is important to first consider the factors that cause such behaviors.

Therefore, the paper will seek to discuss the family factors associated with low recidivism rates in relation to its causes among juveniles.
